First of all these guys are confirm:

1. KLR 2. Shaw 3. Pujara 4. VK 5. Rahane 6. Pant 7.ishanth 8. Shami 9. Bumrah

 

So the fight is for 2 spots

Option a: 1 specialist batsman and 1 specialist wrist spinner : rohit + Kuldeep

 

Option b: 2 all-rounders among Ashwin/ jadeja and Bhuvaneshwar..

 

Both the options are fine by me

Disadvantage of option a is that if any one bowler gets injured mid match we are phukked because none of the other batsmen can bowl like SRT or sehwag

 

Disadvantage of option b is that Ashwin and jadeja may not put a price on their wickets and combined with the other three tailenders we might struggle to add even 50 runs for the last 5 wickets. If pant also plays retarded shots VK will literally see hell when putting up scores.

KL Rahul isn't in form. Shaw untested. Pujara failed in Aus last time. Rahane's recent form worry. Vihari untested. Pant untested. So basically except Virat every batsman is big worry on this tour.

Untested is no excuse to not play a young talent who has the potential to be the next big thing in Indian cricket.

I am not giving an excuse but saying that our batting lineup except virat isn't proven overseas. We don't know Rahul or Shaw might score 400 runs in series or Vihari might play match winning inning but we can only imagine right now.

Ideally Vihari..but Kohli won't drop Rahane...he has an allegiance to the Mumbai lobby.
