That one wicket of Ricky Ponting has led Ishant to tour 4 tours to Australia. 65 bowling average and 4 tours does not make any sense.

I am not yet fully convinced of Ishant, but there's no denying the fact that he has been good over the last 10 tests and merits his selection.

He does but it is shocking that he has such bad stats in Australia.

yes, many of the current crop have very bad records in Oz. Bhuvi was rushed from injury and played a vital knock with the bat, but his avg is well over 100. umesh and ashwin have also not done well at all. shami was so-so on the last tour - got some wkts but most of them were cheaply gifted when looking for quick runs, etc.

Can't wait for Ind to look past this doofus Ishant. He will never be a leader of any attack and he has self confessed that. Bumrah is the leader of this attack, tells you a lot about experience.

Bumrah is the X-factor and Ishant is the leader of the attack! ( as per Zak ).
