SecondSlip
Everyone loves to blame Kohli, Shastri and even Dhoni for our batting failures in all formats, but why is nobody questioning Bangar? I mean seriously, what the heck is this guy doing with our batsmen? The batting department is probably at its lowest point in both tests and Odis but there seems to be nothing done to improve this. Bangar has been with the team since our England tour in 2014 but the batting seems to have regressed big time in the past 4 years. How does this guy escape criticism? He should be booted out first if we are to make changes. UrmiSinhaRay, Frustrated and express bowling 2 1 Link to comment

Late Cut
Hmm wonder how this team would have done w Dravid as the batting coach and ZK as the bowling coach w Kumble at the helm like it was recommended. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

sandeep
What's the point of blaming the coach. Its the batsman who decides the shot selection at the crease. Direct your fire at the players. They are the ones who deserve it the most here. How many times are we going to see this team start crucial games and series poorly. Its the same disappointing frustrating pattern, time and again. Across formats. Credit to the Australian bowlers, they bowled decent, hit the right areas. But to give away 4 top order wickets like this, on this belter of a track. Unforgivable. Link to comment

zen
Ind's top 6 of KL, Vijay, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane and Rohit is quite experienced to be blaming coaches .... appears as if some Ind fans are running out of excuses / scapegoats (if we had won the toss, if xyz had played, if ....) SecondSlip
@sandeep @zen this thread is not about the current test match. It’s about Bangar’s whole tenure as batting coach in the past 4 years. Our batting has has regressed big time under Bangar’s coaching in all formats. The test team has only 1 reliable batsman in Kohli. The ODI team has a horrendous middle order. The T20 team has batsmen that have no business playing in the format. The batting coach is to blame for this. He has been with us for 4 years yet we are going downhill in the batting department. All dismissals today due to poor shots yes shots were poor but they all were on if this was the same old 2015 Adelaide pitch but this pitch is not the same pitch and they could not assess the pitch well. Last time, Warner flayed our bowlers playing shots like these, but this pitch had extra bounce and pace which meant intended drives became edges to slips and gullys. Fault of the batsmen but still can't be too harsh on them. Switchblade and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

We have some in house expert also who believe that crap and also think Shastri is a he best coach. Neither Shastri is good coach nor kohli is a captain. They both should be relinquished from their positions and also needs to be kickout all the dead weight like rahane, Rohit and Vijay. Rahul should be send back to domestic , enough chance given in test but he has s unable to grasp it. Number and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment
Kohlifan
do we have one? any ways these are all stars in their own eyes i don't expect much from them (Kohli aside, he has great work ethics). Link to comment
Vilander
Klr Vijay Kohli and Rahane went driving making strokes when they had to leave ,not some phenominal balls just wrong shots and batspeed. Built all that pressure on latter batsmen esp Rohit was more crucial.. The manner he got dismissed with a soft ball..he could have easily kicked on to a good score and india would have been 300 odd for 5 now all forgotten. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Ankit_sharma03
To be honest it needs to assessed how vijay, rahul, rahane all have regressed under him. Its not working change him They all did well under duncan and i have read interviews where they talked about how duncan helped their game overseas Link to comment

He averaged 32.50 in this Border Gavaskar trophy in 2014. Next series was against SL in August 2015. Duncan Fletcher was not the coach. Sangakarra was temporary interim coach. Rahuls series average was 21. Next series was against WI in WI. Sanjay Bangar was coach. His batting average in this series was 78.66. To say Rahul had success under Duncan Fletcher is totally wrong, as he played just one series under Duncan Fletcher and he did below par. Under Sanjay Bangar he has had some series where he averaged significantly better. Link to comment
