sscomp32
He forgot to mention I said if kohli remains injury free. Otherwise I am more likely going with Slickr. Sent from my SM-G611F using Tapatalk Link to comment

Vijy
He is like a slightly lesser version of Punter for me. I think we will see a decline in his stats close to retirement. I see him ending with a 50+ career avg, but only slightly more than 50. Link to comment
mishra
11-12k test runs with around 40-50 centuries Edited December 8, 2018 by mishra Link to comment
rkt.india
He will max play 6 more years. 65 more tests approx, about 105 innings. If he averages 50 for those innings then 5250 runs more. Current runs 6300+5250= 11550. Can have variations of 1000-1500 runs and 15 tests 1-2 years. It takes him to 13000 runs, around 155 tests, around 45 hundreds, average around 52-53 nevada 1 Link to comment

SUMO
He can leave T20s by 2020 wc And pick and choose in ODIs after 2023 wc. Actress generally dont work in bollywood after 35, so he might not feel homesick/family seek to retire early. I would like him to play tests till 38-39. Even if he is not the same batsman overseas by 35. I don't he will have problem scoring in bulk in subcontinent (advantage for subcontinent batsman bcz slowing reflexes are not exposed that much in asian pitches) Sachin, ponting, dravid, sangakkara, kallis, lara, waugh, border added 6000-7000+ runs after age of 30. If kohli adds 7000 runs more in 90 tests, 150 innings over next 8-9 years he can cross 2nd highest run tally 13378 of ponting. Behind tendu only in both the formats and 2nd guy ever to touch 30k mark across 3 formats. Link to comment
Straight Drive
My guess is he will end up with average of 50 - 52 once he plays a long career and injuries and decline in last phase of career happens. Link to comment

At age 30 : Punter matches 83/134 6377runs @54.04 20/25 Kohli matches 73/124 6331runs @54.47 24/19 (slightly better at this stage) punter had insane peak till 107 test avg reached almost 60. But averaged below 40 in his last 61 test!! No 100 for almost 2 years. I really hope kohli surpass his 13378 even by 1 run, to become no.2 after sachin In ODIs and T20s there is no comparison at all.
