Pandya sucks with both bat and ball. Even a die hard fan like you probably doesn’t even know if he’s a batting allrounder or bowling allrounder. 

 

Rohit’s international batting average is higher than Pandya’s domestic batting average. Rohit hasn’t played that many games in Asia, that’s why he averages only 40. Pandya is seriously unreliable with the bat, you just can never trust him. 

 

By the way, I don’t want either in my test team. I’m just pointing out the obvious that Pandya is an inferior batsman to Rohit. It won’t even be a competition in Asia.

Pappu is a good player of pace bowling and has good horizontal shots. He will be much more comfortable opening the batting than Vihari

Pandya has a 100  in SL, rohit doesnt ...he threw his starts

Watch pandya innings in england.....he applied which is what a batsman is suppouse to do now, now go watch rohit dismissal ull see the number of times that guy has thrown his wkt stupidly in crunch situations

Rohit sharma international avg is up due to home series and pandya hasnt played a lot of domestic ( so bizzare comparison)

Rohit has still played a lot more then pandya in Asia, let pandya play in Asia he ll avg better then rohit

I knw ppl say Pandya is a hit n miss but lets not forget he was a hit n miss in ENG n SA

Look at those pitches 

Look at those bowling attacks 

Look at how everyone fared, even pujara was  hit n miss in those 2 series leaving only kohli to be conistent 

 

when ur specialist batsman were hit n miss doesnt that suggest how tough conditions were.  Sample size for pandya is very small as of now . 

 

Ill tell the problem he can do both so ppl are not able to label him hence they choose Hit n miss , i dnt see u using that term for rohit sharma who has been a miss mostly in every condition. Pandya hasnt even played in every condition

 

on a good day in SENA pandya almost cracked a 100 and rohit on good days have always thrown his wkts...

Even if both fail with bat , pandya has utility with ball and can give u wkts n some day win u games....at worst atleast he still gives ur bowlers a breather 

 

So Again how is Pandya worse then rohit sharma

The only reason I want Pappu to play is because this squad has no other opening options other than Rahul and Vijay. Neither of these 2 walking wickets deserve to play this all important test match. 

 

Besides, Pappu’s batting is leagues ahead of Pandya’s.

Is Pandya a batting allrounder or bowling allrounder? Is batting his stronger suit or bowling? Can he make it into the team on his batting or bowling alone? Name me even 1 team that is carrying a bits and pieces player in their test team other than Australia (Mitch Marsh)

Even I like Rahul much more than Pappu but the guy is struggling very badly currently.

at this point he is to young in his career to say that 

his role is simple- give batting a cushion n also bowling ....

vihari n rohit hasnt set anything extra then pandya with bat- pandya has bowling advantage over them 

 

NZ played Colin de grandhomme 

If u check most all rounder career till pandya played all their stats will scream bits n pieces

 

If u say his batting has struggled so has everyone in those conditions

If u say his bowling doesnt show much- then ask urself how much of a work has been left by other bowlers to do 

 

 

UR concentrating on wrong things- that u hve to give a tittle , when all it matters is what he brings to the team
