He manipulated the * out of it in his tweet. When the hell did virat ever say "Ms has given up on T20s" ???? And Pant is still part of t20s.

dhoni wanted to make way for Pant , what else does it mean

N this is sheer inconsiutency on every end, one series u wanna play next u dnt.....by selectors, dhoni himself, kohli the captain

Now their are 3 wk in the squad, bizzare

If you are trying to make a way for someone into the team, does that mean he needs to drop himself forever ? You are acting like we have proper middle order set for T20Is and There is only one place between Ms and pant.

They are selected for their batting. Didn't karthik ever play before with MS keeping ?

Didn't Pant play with Dhoni(wk) as a fielder ? At the end of the day they were selected for their batting not keeping.

Rohit

Dhawan/KL

Kohli

----

----

Dhoni

Pandya

4 bowlers

There is clearly two more spots for the grabs, which ll prob be among rayudu, karthik and pant.

yes

We dnt have to much issue in middle order t20 its actually better then odis  and how can dhoni be an answer in t20s...he record is disastor

Karthik has done better then both, he deserves a permanet slot now in t20

Dhoni cnt have a spot ahead of karthik in t20

rest 2 spots belong to Rahul n Krunal , pant can be on bench but by dhoni coming back it messes up even the XI coz they wnt bench him

In our batting order in t20 shud be

Dhawan

rohit

Kohli

Rahul

Karthik

Hardik

Krunal

Now where wud u fit dhoni in this

I never said he is but It makes sense to play as much cricket as possible if he is part of your plans till 2019 WC, Simple as that.

What kind of a fantasy T2OI team is that!!! Rahul at #4 and Krunal at #7 ??? Where did he suddenly pop out off:plane:

5 Batsmens , 2 All-Rounders and 4 bowlers ? Looks bit too much

Chief selector MSK Prasad explains why Rishabh Pant has been overlooked in ODI series

https://www.crictracker.com/chief-selector-msk-prasad-explains-why-rishabh-pant-has-been-overlooked-in-odi-series/

Quote

‘Time to bring back Dhoni’

Speaking to the media in Melbourne on the eve of the third Test, Prasad, a former India wicket-keeper himself, said, “We categorically told that he (Dhoni) is going to be rested for those six matches so that we can give more game time to Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant. So that is the very reason.”

“And now they have played quite a few matches so we thought now we have to bring MS into the squad.” He said with just 13 ODIs to go before the ICC World Cup in May-July, India have a core team in place now and only 20 players have been zeroed in on and they will figure in the rest of India’s games from now on.

On Pant, Prasad said he will be given a break after the ongoing Test series against Australia so that he can return fresh for the World Cup. Prasad also said that Pant will be playing for India ‘A’ in five ODIs against the visiting England Lions in January before preparing for the mega event.

1.  Bumrah should have been rested  in the T20I series vs NZ.  Too much workload for him.

Yes, he needs ODI practice as preparation for the World Cup ... but no point taxing his body in bilateral T20Is.

2.  Vijay Shankar has done really really well in the recently concluded 50 over A-team games.  He should have been included in the ODI squad as a backup for Hardik Pandya.
