Why are Indian batsmen scoring at 1.88 rpo on flat pitch?

They are batting as if they are on SA greentop.

Usually teams score 100-110 runs in 32 overs.

80-90 runs when bowling is good.

Short by 30 runs and we are in situation where one wicket will bring aussies on top. Not really going ahead atm.

Not ideal, but I’d take this over few wickets down. Run rate is creeping up a bit. India need to bat Aussies out of the match in the 1st innings if possible. This wicket is not going to have a lot of demons.

I think since we have a group of 140+ Bowlers we are becoming like Pakistan fans blaming things on batting.

Yes our bowling is leagues ahead of our batting at the moment. However the 2nd test at Perth was lost due to the opening spell and that 100+ partnership.

Similarly, If we let Aussies get away in their 1st innings, we will be right back under the pump.
