What a tosser this guy is

Does he not realise how bad he been and that taking large breaks and not playing will accelarte the downward spiral at his age?

Unbleivable .  Shows no love of the game that will not play 1 or 2 games (of his picking) to play the great game and keep in nick.  Plus how good to play for your state and give something back

This is poor this is tolerated by BCCI

Already this trend is being followed by Dhawan,Rayudu etc

This also has an added advantage that if you are out of form,no one will know even if the competition is better than you

I don't think any other country will allow this kind of nonsense.

Good point.  Plays domestics other wil play and be better.  He will be the emperor with no clothes and exposed

Just realised Marcus Trescothik still plays FC cricket for Somerset and sometimes for Somerset 2nd XI. How crucial his experience would be for budding cricketers. There’s so much to learn for u-19 and junior cricketers from international cricketers and that’s is added advantage. It gives senior players practice and opportunity for junior players to learn. Unfortunately in our country, senior players play in Ranji or Vijay Hazare just before IPL auction to remain in reckoning. That’s what Yuvraj did. If players keep on ditching, state teams should give chance to youngsters only.

Such a shameless guy. He was the one who started the trend of resting from international cricket after IPL (missed 2008 SL Tests immediately after first IPL).

And now this. All he will play is shorter formats for India and IPL. And BCCI rewards him by gifting his place in T20s back to him. Not surprised to see Rayudu follow his example and Dhawan missing Ranji trophy

No one in BCCI to restrain Dhoni and others?
