“I played on it (the SCG) three or four weeks ago and it spun a little bit,” Paine said on Macquarie Radio. “We’re hearing it is probably going to be a little bit drier than even that, so I’m sure India will be looking really forward to it and that’s been the one disappointing thing.

“We’ve rolled up some wickets that have taken away from our strengths, which is pace and bounce.

“It’s a frustration. You never go to India and get served up green wickets.”

Three Tests into the series, India’s players dominate the run-scoring and wicket-taking charts. Japsrit Bumrah (20 wickets at 14.65) sits atop the wicket-taking chart, while Travis Head (third with 217 runs at 36.16) is the only Australian among the top five run-scorers.

They should have prepared fast pitches . Even they are not 100% sure they can win against this attack even on fast pitches .

I hope Australia media isnt trying to make Indian management play 2 spinners by mentioning spin friendly track at SCG..

They have included Labuscene(or whatever his name is)..We should go unchanged.

Nope I'd include a second spinner if SCG is drier than normal, ideally drop Sharma but it already looks an impossibility this tour.

1.   It could be a trap to fool us into believing that we are getting a turning track.  (   statements like it would turn from day 2 or 3 even if it looks normal before the start of the match  ).   If we go with just 2 specialist pacers,  we would be roast.

2.  We did serve Australia a green and bouncy track in the last test in Dharamsala in 2017.  And we won with aplomb.

A pace attack that has broken the record for wickets taken in a year will be more than happy to bowl on a green top.

Aussie batsmen struggled to score on a dead track, what are they going to do on a green pitch?

You can prepare any pitch you like but if you haven't got enough sandpaper available your limitations will be exposed.

1. Dharam Shala -  pace pitch and still India won

2. Lyon has been  the best bowler  in the most pace friendly  wkt in this series  in which the Aussies won.So Aussies should thank him for not losing that match where  pacers were getting easily negotiated by Indian batsmen. Not only that he has been the most influential bowler for the Aussies picking up vital wkts of well set batsmen thru out the series.Even in this Melbourne test he was pure unlucky not to pick  a few more wkts.

3. The most unlucky decision went against India in the form of that  Kohli catch when he was on a 'match turning123 '.

Take that temporary captain. Your whining  for fake  reasons makes the win even sweeter

He has the right to be pissed off. Who the eff gives pitch advantage to the visiting team? Nonsense

However Indian pacers are not the like pacers from the early 2000. Would you really call it a home advantage at that point?

I don't think there was any pitch advantage. All the three pitches have played to their reputation. Also MCG was green on day one and he himself admitted he wanted to bowl first had he won the toss.

Labuschagne is a middle order batsman.
