Match thread: Ind vs Aus - Final test, Sydney (3rd Jan to 7th Jan)

Recommended Posts

Day called off for bad light despite being lunch time, availability of floodlights and it's a bloody SUNDAY!

No wonder so many people don't like Test matches and its a dying breed.

Michael Clarke losing his shyte on TV, and rightly so.

One word for Umpires and match referee, Morons.

A total of 150 overs still remaining. Why take any risk of batting last on this pitch?

૯૮ over Left = 98 overs only

India has officially broken Australian cricket.

As bad as Sri Lanka are, they are a remote chance of causing an upset.

In SL series, people will find out this is actually a very good Aus attack, which Ind blunted.

LoL at people who think that this Aus attack is a joke.it was the grit and patience of Indian batsmen especially Pujara who blunted the Aussie attack and grounded them to dust.made them toil in the series and rendered them ineffective.Take Pujara out and you will have a different result. We are blessed that Pujara has perfected his role as a 'wall'.

Credit to our pacers and spinners as well as they have look threatening throughout barring a few spells.I grew up in the 90's when Aussie bowlers would blow away our top order and we lost all the matches by huge margin. It's so so satisfying to wake up in the morning and finding Aus 100 odd for 4 or 250 A.O or Pujara still batting at 190...pure bliss !!!!

I'll celebrate this historic series win hoping to hammer them 3-1 which looks unlikely at the moment.

Those Indian batsmen of the 90s were regularly fishing well outside of off stump and gave plenty of slips practice. Have a look at youtube of their dismissals, speaks volumes of how far Indian cricket has progressed.

That game was fixed by Cronje, you know that right?

no

that was sporting declaration so

eng won by 2 wickets whatever reason result came because rains

Southafrica 248 and 0 for 0 forfiet

england 0 for 0 forfiet and 251 for 8

Cronje has big heart so eng win by 2 wkts

paine should declared tomorrow before they reaches 314 so we win by an innings

Kohli's legacy.

He broke Australian cricket in two in Australia for an entire generation of Australians.

I like how little has been mentioned of Paines's comment about Kohli's teammates not liking him, why hasnt this been addressed more harshly in the media.

You Indians must realise the only reason Australia has stopped sledging is that they have lost. If they were in our position they would be destroying us mentally. Mark my words when India returns, you will see a different Australia sledging. It will be back to convict time.

Stop-start day likely.

Cricinfo: Another overcast day in Sydney with the occasionally spot of rain in the air. But the pitch isn't covered at the moment and the floodlights aren't on. The forecast is for it to stay like this much of the day, so light could well be an issue later."

This is why bad light stopping play is such a joke yesterday, could have allowed india to use spinners but umpires just pussied out. Should be 3-1 for definite but not not sure cause of stupid weather.

anyhow, this series has been defining and will be a huge plus point on Kohli’s India. The true number 1 test side.

Cook inspires historic Ashes win

On this day in 2011, England completed an innings win over Australia in Sydney, thereby completing a 3-1 win series win, their first in Australia after 24 years. The architect of the win was Alastair Cook who notched up a fabulous 189 in the first innings as England, responding to Australia's 280 all-out, notched up a mammoth 644. There were centuries also for Ian Bell and Matt Prior as Australia bowled 178 overs. In their second essay, Australia scored one more than what they achieved in their first, as Jimmy Anderson added 3 more wickets to the four he had taken in the first innings, to condemn the hosts to an innings and 83 run defeat. Alastair Cook, who aggregated 766 runs in the five-match series, was duly named the player of the match and the series.

hey how can you say that..blasphemy.. don't you know any one who played in the past and retired is gold standard in everything. infact every passing year after they stop playing their skill ratings keep improving eventually after 20 years they become legends..even if they were piss poor when they played.
