Dhoni fans in morining.  Kohli better skipper.  Pant better keeper.  Bad times for worshippers of the false idol

ps shoudl not dhoni fans be bigger fans of India then dhoni?

Firstly, it is "mourning" and not morining - perhaps Mumbai Indians fans like yourself would do better to invest more time in education than on trying to play Sherlock Holmes because - frankly - you are terrible at that.

Just so you know, I have been one of Dhoni's biggest critics on the forum. You can ask velu about it. That doesn't mean we have a go at Dhoni when he's not even in the test side. I believe Dhoni should be booted from LOIs but your darling "best skipper Kohli" will not allow it to happen, just like he keeps picking that useless Nohut outside of Asia in tests.

Pant better keeper? lol. He might go on to be one, but he's a below average keeper at present - he might be a better test batsman than Dhoni, though.

The only "worshippers" are those who have "King" in their username. Bigger fans of India you say? YOU have the name of a player (Tendulkar - who carried on selfishly in tests for 2 years past his sell-by date at the detriment of Indian cricket) in your username and I have INDIA. Try harder, kid.

Absolutely fine.

But remember, Dhoni has got a MoM in the wc finals , but sachin has got nothing to show :phehe:

Wonderful achievement. Don’t be so heartbroken to remember every little Dhoni record to make you feel better.

A 21 year old, in his first 6 months in Test cricket, had showed the true level of Dhoni in Tests . A sensible 38 year old would have retired out of this shame from all formats and passed on the baton

Pant's place was blocked by tendiya for long long time. Kid could have make his debut at 14 but selfish man used his Mumbai influence to keep him out.

Op must be the hundredth fake id generated by electronic machine like you..

Shamelessly bringing irrelevant topics into discussions when you can't defend  the most useless wicket keeper bat in test matches for India..pant is hell-bent in exposing that fraudster now. Deal with it!

I have no idea when you joined this forum, but I have been here for YEARS. Prove your accusations if you have more guts than some of our chokers in WC finals.

Now, Dhoni may be the worst player ever - but at least he ensured that little Tendy's dream to finally win a WC for INDIA wouldn't go in vain when the Master Blaster choked again in a WC final. For that alone, Tendu would trade all his tons.

sorry, Dhoni came in on dew infested Wankhede stadium with hard work already done by Kohli, SRT and Gambhir. SRT is an opening bat to Malinga- different to facing old ball with dew. Sehwag also got out to Malinga in that match- same Sehwag who bashed McGrath and Lee around all over Joburg in 2003 WC final. Only threat that match was Malinga with new ball- Thissara, Kulasekera and Murali/Randhiv (on dew) were just cannon fodder. MSD was just around to take the credit. Story of MSDs careers realy-l Selfless promotion ahead of man of the series Yuvraj who would have picked off the runs anyway. BTW, would India have even got to the final had it not been for SRTs contribution in groups, quarters and semis? What was MSDs contribution in the QFs and semis? If it weren't for Sachin, MSD would be collecting tickets again in Ranchi train station.

Inspired by the very intelligent and articulate Dhoni/Pant thread. Discuss.

Only a retard compares team results using individuals. Pak experts and fans were great at this and we used go laugh at their brains

Yes and if sachin had not played that innings in semis we would have got the same lota as we got in other world cups after 83. Let's not pretend you are not another cheap troll throwing a fit because there was a dhoni thread made today

Once again we have trolls infesting the forum and the troll mod helping drag the forum down. For a few days forum had calmed down with good discussions but once again it will be a troll fest with the troll mod helping drag this forum down

I think you're the one who's mixed up. Everyone knows we won the tourney because of SRT, Yuvi and Zak and final because of GG/Zak. One opportunistic self promotion by a free loader is of little significance- media can pump the guy all they like. 1930s media used to pump Adolf Hitler in Germany...but history remains true judge. And history will define Thala accordingly.

Yes- shows he's able to bat in trying circumstances- when colleagues all around him failing. Easy to perform well when rest of team is already killing it...e.g WC final 2011 after game set up for you on a plate

What happened in 2003 WC final then. Indian team had the best batting lineup. Sehwag, Ganguly, and even Dravid played a better innings than Sachin. He hit a four and out. If he had stayed with Sehwag, we had a chance. It shows he's a choker when it mattered the most. Lot of people are questioning Kohli's WC performance and regard Dhawan and Rohit as a clutch player. If that is so, why not question Sachin.

Say all you want about 2011 WC but it took a clutch innings from Dhoni to finish it. If it wasnt for Yuvi, Dhoni and Raina, India wouldn't have won the cup. Dhoni is an obviously inferior player to Sachin, but when it comes to pulling the trigger Dhoni is a better matchwinner. You will miss him when hes gone. One can only hope DK, Pant, and Pandya carry his legacy of finishing games. I cannot recall how many times we lost 50-50 matches before Dhoni. We were called always a bridesmaid never the bride for a while.

So Sachin vs Pak 2003 WC wasn't clutch, Sachin vs Pak 2011 in semi final wasn't clutch?

No indian team has won in Oz. so, by your weird logic, you can say Pant:1 and everyone ATG Indian batsman: 0  (e.g. Gavaskar, Dravid, Sehwag) apart from Kohli and Pujara.

Sachin vs Pak 2003 was not a knockout match. We had already qualified by that stage. 2011 was an ugly innings by everyone. In terms of impact, that match was won because of Sehwag's blistering start, Raina and Harbhajan's clutch finish and all our bowlers contributing to the win. I will say the bowling won us the match 260 was a sh1t score. And btw sachin was dropped 5 times lol

But still those runs were crucial. Nobody asked greenbros to drop them. Sachin was struggling but intermittently timing very well also, a strange kind of innings.

Isn't India vs Pak in a major tournament the biggest game in International cricket??

Both Sachin and the greenbros choked. I could see how much the pressure got to him after Sehwag got out. Dhoni was also poor. Our batting was shabby and we won because of our bowling and fielding. Its just a matter of how much in a pressure situation. Sehwag, Raina, Harbhajan, Munaf, Zaheer, Nehra, Yuvi (bowling) were clutch. Only Wahab Riaz, Chuckmal and Afridi to some extent were clutch.

The most crucial bit in that match was raina's cameo imo. Bowlers were brilliant, even munaf Patel :hysterical:

Best examples of Sachin's clutch innings is: 1998 desert storm and 2008 cb series. He got crucial wickets in Adilaede and Eden tests. If you remember Compaq cup 2009 final, he played well.

Still those were not WC innings. Can you beat Ricky Ponting's 140 in a WC final. Desert storm was great but they didnt have Mcgrath and Gillespie. It pains me when some people mention CB series as a monumental achievement. Havent other teams win traingular or multinational tournaments in India. Yes he did well in that series.

Compaq cup? LOL. I don't even remember it. Its that obscure. Kohli gets a lot of flak for winning cycle agarbathi series and laying an egg in WCs. Supposedly Dhawan and Rohit are better in WC. Why not make the same case for Sachin

He got Hafeez who had a start. I think he had a 40 something. He also got rid of Razzaq who I consider to be more dangerous than Afridi. I don't rate him but he did a brilliant job in that game
