The 11 should be:

1) Shikhar Dhawan

2) Rohit Sharma

3) Virat Kohli

4) Prithvi Shaw

5) Rishabh Pant

6) Kedar Jadhav

7) Hardik Pandya

8) Ravi Jadeja

9) Bhuvi Kumar

10)Mohammad Shami

11)Jasprit Bumrah

+ Kuldeep, Chahal, Dinesh Karthik and Khaleel Ahmed to round off the squad of 15.

We bat till 9 - on ultra flat England ODI pitches we need it. Unfortunately our middle order will be Dhoni, Rayudu and Karthik.

Cant beleve people picking shaw and gill over agarwal.  Just on age nothing more lol  Agarwal on his juggernaught run demolished all in Vijay and shown his quality here in oz and power plus gun fielder

Rohit - superb odi opener

Dhawan - superb odi opener

Kohli(c)

Rayudu - Cant knock him done great, this tour will reveal more if flunks....

Jadhav - this tour will reveal more.....

Karthik (wk) - cant knock him done great, this tour will reveal more, maybe pant takes him ou.

Hardik - Power lower hitter and seam oprion.  A must for balance

BK - Semi all rounder

Kuldeep - leg spinner a must in white ball, semi all rounder as well

Bumrah

Chahal - been great, takes wickets.  Love having 2 wrist spinnners, wreak havoc in  middle overs

Agarwal - Rohit/Dhawan need to stay in form.  Needs a couple of games in this tour and have a look

Shaw/Raul - Lets see who impresses til wc.  Raul is class and needs form.  Shaw is defo after wc this one maybe too soon

Pant - Plays ome on this tour.  If impresses may oust Karthick or make as pur bat over Rayudu/Jadhav

Jadeja- Genuine all rounder, could oust chahal if want more batting/fielding

Another seamer really not sure.  Warrier/Rajpoot/Avesh Khan, pick one for experince as wont play frankly

Shami - Serious contender to oust BK, depends on form

ps Gill is for after this wc

Good to see youngsters / new players such as Shaw, Gill, Agarwal, Pant, Krunal, etc., in the line up .... Let’s see if some of them get to do a debut in the WC or just before the WC to play in the WC

Some new players / debutants who have been successful in major tourneys: Sidhu in 1987 WC (probably played here and there before the WC), Yuvi and Zak in CT2000, ....

  • Gill has a chance to make it to the WC squad. May be Pant can make it too
  • Looking at how Bhuvi and Khaleel are bowling, we may need to strengthen up the pace bowling department
  • Pandya, I hope, will be back for the #7 AR slot

Agarwal and Shaw, whose form should be leveraged upon in LOIs,  appear to be in consideration for tests only at the moment
