Pitches will be mostly flat and considering the variety in our bowling attack ( esp spinners ) SENA teams will be having nightmares when they play against us. Our probable team which going to the wc:- 1) hitman 2) dhawan 3) kohli 4) rayudu 5) dhoni 6) jadhav 7) pandya 8) bhuvi/shami 9) kuldeep 10) bumrah 11) chahal Only weak link is rayudu , and if he loses his form ( most probably he will ) , he will be repalced by DK which is a better option ( dhoni can move to #4 slot ) .. Inspite of knowing absolute weakness in middle order where better players are rotting in domestic if you are still confident good for you. Other teams are weak coz they don't hav option and only because they are weak we have some chance to qualify for KO but after that it ll be same fate which we suffered in CT or in wc15 .where we went with over the top or useless hack who were exposed in KO rounds. Never say never. We won a WC with dhoni in the side, that too when he was on a slum with his batting. Peaked at the right match aswell. speedheat Posted January 25, 2019 Share Posted January 25, 2019 Without an iota of doubt. SENA+wi can't play our spinners even on flat tracks, pretty much confirmed. Our only competition is pak but even they shat in pants against us in ICC events. If we add dk at 4 kedar at 5 pant at 6 and pandy at 7 it looks balance side. Two allrounders, two good finishers and two brute hitters. Moreover, we need to swap shami n chahal according to conditions and opponents. Shami must play against pak/bang/SL 2spinners + kedar on flat track will suicidal against these teams. We are winning this unless and until kohli and shastri does something silly. At that time he was not in form but he was at his peak year. This dhoni can win only when target is on an around 250. Also we don't have just one dud we have Rayadu as well. What disappointing is we could have thrashed everyone only if middle order holler could have avoided. With this team also we can reach to knockout but after that if top order fails and target is more than 270 we ll struggle. Link to comment
