Yet again, your bias is showing Rajo. If calling all Australians convicts is fact, then surely my claim that Indians are employed by Australia to do that particular type of work is also fact. I can assure you, I am not lying. btw, you seem to have no problem with Symonds being labelled a monkey by so many on this site. So who are you to call me shallow. You have no idea, do you?

Isn't it funny that none of the aussie fans have come out and said Hayden must be punished for what he has said. He has committed a level three offense by calling Ishant to a fight, the same level of offense that Bhajii had allegedly committed. Yet most of us said Bhajii should be punished if he had said the monkey word and Ishant for send off Symo. But some aussies even claimed that we are giving Ishant a clean chit and attacking Symo, when we most of our posts clearly said we are okay with the fine. But where are these aussies, when there own people commit offenses? Ironically they talk about responsibility! & owning up to their deeds!

I just now heard the radio broadcast' date= the way Hayden and the hosts were talking about the indians was really disparaging. You must hear their modulation, my blood boils! Is CA going to take action or is it just going to play a cover up and let him off like Warne? WTF is ICC doing?
They should show this on Indian chanells ....people need to see what kind of apes the Indian companies are paying precious money to .

Your posts bear out your unfortunate and ignorant understanding of any of this - as does your avatar.
I have personal experience with few Aussies and I have very good regards on them in the same line with Sunil Gavaskar,Sachin,Harbajan now Ishant. They have scant respect to Indians and they want only money.

Becuase a few Australian cricketers join the IPL, you can now state with certainty, that all Australians want, is money? That seems like one hell of a generalisation.

You guys are nuts. Hayden's comment was purely tongue in cheek' date=' he didn't mean it. Nobody would be stupid enough to say these things seriously. Humorless souls, the lot of you[/quote'] EXACTLY! Have any of you listened to the actual radio interview? If not, please do so! You can't honestly think that he was serious about wanting to fight Sharma? I agree that he shouldn't have called Harbhajan an obnoxious little weed on radio, but I don't blame him for thinking it. Harbi gives as good as he gets.

Harbhajan replies to Hayden's jibes February 27, 2008 14:18 IST Harbhajan Singh [images] reckons that Matthew Hayden's [images] stinging verbal attack at him stems from the frustration of realising that the Australians are "no longer the undisputed champions" and that India is the only team giving them a run for their money. "Maybe, they realise that they no longer are the undisputed champions of the world. Maybe, they feel the crown is slipping. Otherwise, why a cricket veteran would ask a 19-year-old [ishant Sharma] to join him in a ring?," he said in reaction to the latest provocation by Hayden. Hayden called Harbhajan an "obnoxious little weed" and invited Ishant Sharma "into a boxing ring" to sort out issues in an interview to Brisbane Radio on Tuesday. He also had a frontal attack on Harbhajan saying, that "his record speaks for itself in cricket... that's why he has been charged more than anyone else who's ever played in the history of cricket..." Harbhajan, who seemed to have read the personal attack by Hayden in entirety, said he preferred to keep himself in control instead of taking up the matter with the belligerent Aussie opener. "I don't want it to be a slanging match," Harbhajan said adding that he didn't want to open a pandora's box for a lot that the Australians have said this summer would then come tumbling out. "But you only need to speak to international cricketers and international teams to know in what opinion they hold Hayden," he said looking at the broadside as just "one more instance of what our hosts have been up to all this summer. The visiting Indian team feel all along they have been "provoked" by the Australians and a written complaint with ICC [images] match referee Jeff Crowe after the Sunday's tri-series match against Australia in Sydney was in response to it. Harbhajan was also surprised at the Australian opener's statement which said that Indians are complaining "because they are losing every game they are playing". "Really, you think so? I would have thought we are the only ones who have got the Australians on the run this summer," he said. Cricket Australia (CA) held an emergency meeting in Melbourne on Wednesday to discuss if Hayden had breached rules as the Board has the authority to stop its contracted player from commenting on television, radio or print if it feels that it is not in good taste about an opposition players or Board. The word from CA on its meeting though is awaited. Besides Hayden getting embroiled with Harbhajan and Ishant, there was another specific incident of Ricky Ponting [images] having a go at Harbhajan during a one-day international between the two teams in Adelaide on February 17. Apparently, Ponting kept having a go at Harbhajan in Adelaide, asking him "to show what he had got" in the middle. Harbhajan, on his part, had then cheekily remarked: "Mate, whatever I have shown in the middle has been better than yours' in the series so far." It appeared to have stung the Australian captain who abused Harbhajan after the latter was dismissed. A departing Harbhajan, on hearing so, stopped and turned round only to see Ponting disappear among celebrating Aussies. "They do it so well," Harbhajan said grudgingly "they keep the back to you when they have something nasty to say to the opponent."

Hayden charged after labelling Harbhajan an 'obnoxious little weed' and looking to fight Sharma Matthew Hayden has been charged with a breach of Cricket Australia's code of conduct after describing Harbhajan Singh as an 'obnoxious little weed' in a radio interview241983046More... Last updated at 11:00am on 27th February 2008 082harb_186x250.jpgBig clash: Symonds and Singh... 090ponting_186x250.jpg ... and another: Harbhajan and Ricky Ponting Matthew Hayden has been charged with a breach of Cricket Australia's code of conduct after describing Harbhajan Singh as an "obnoxious little weed" in a radio interview. Hayden was due to appear before a Cricket Australia hearing beginning at 8pm in Melbourne today. According to a statement from Cricket Australia, he was charged under rules which prohibit "public denigration of other players against whom they have or will play". Hayden branded Harbhajan an "obnoxious little weed" in the latest in a long line of spats which have afflicted India's tour of Australia. He clashed with Harbhajan in Sunday's one-day international at the SCG with the Indians claiming he had called the spinner a "mad boy". However, Hayden insisted he called Harbhajan a "bad boy" but went on to blast the Indian, who was charged but later cleared of racially abusing Andrew Symonds in the second Test. "It's been a bit of a long battle with Harbhajan. The first time I ever met him he was the same little obnoxious weed that he is now," Hayden said on Brisbane radio. "His record speaks for itself in cricket. There is a certain line that you can kind of go to and then you know where you push it and he just pushes it all the time. "That's why he has been charged more than anyone that's ever played in the history of cricket." Hayden's comments come after India confirmed they had written to Sunday's match referee Jeff Crowe asking him to look into the "provocative" behaviour of the Australia players. "We are not cry babies but obviously we can't allow our players to be regularly sledged," India team manager Vimal Soni said. However, Hayden played down his clash with Harbhajan. "I called him a bad boy," Hayden insisted. "He took offence to that and I thought that was quite funny. I said, 'Mate you should be flattered, it's a clothing range'." Hayden's comments will add to the spice of the IPL where he will play for Chennai while Harbhajan will turn out for Mumbai. He also had some advice for teenage fast bowler Sharma, who was fined 15 per cent of his match fee after an ugly exchange with Andrew Symonds during the same match. "He is just young. I have said to him many times, 'You are 19, take it easy'," Hayden said. "He is 19, why doesn't he just worry about his bowling for a while? "I like the idea of actually getting into the ring. I like that, let's bring that on." Harbhajan later hit back at Hayden when he told an Indian TV show: "Maybe (the Australians) realise that they are no more the undisputed champs, otherwise why would a cricket veteran target a 19-year-old? "We have been the ones who got the Aussies on the run this summer." The off-spinner, who was charged but later cleared of racially abusing Symonds in the second Test, said of Hayden: "Speak to the players to know what opinion they have of Hayden. I don't want it to be a slanging match though. "The Aussies keep their back to you whenever they say something nasty. They are very good at sledging." Meanwhile, spinner Brad Hogg has announced he will retire from international cricket after the end of the CB Series. The 37-year-old has played 121 one-day internationals and seven Test matches since making his debut in 1996, and was part of Australia's triumphant World Cup sides in 2003 and 2007. HaydenSinghAP_468x313.jpg Latest clash: Hayden (left) with Dhoni and Harbhajan Hogg said that he would call time on his career after next week's finals against India. "My career started against India and I thought if I can play Test cricket against India that would be fantastic," he said. The 37-year-old becomes the third Australian in the past month to leave the international arena, joining Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Tait.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, but let me assure you that you're all over-reacting. Many Australian breakfast radio shows are run by comedians/hosts who take the mickey out of everyone, no matter what the situation, or who the person is. I can understand that it may be offensive to you guys, but in the context of where the interview was taken, it's a piss-take. You aren't being singled out... everybody cops the same treatment! Note that I still think Haydos shouldn't have called him names in public... it's a silly move.

Hayden is a senor cricketer and he should have known whats right and whats wrong. It was an extremely irresponsible comment and is inexcusable. I can understand that certain things can happen on the field in nthe heat of the moment. But when you are talking to the media in a cool head, you should know what to say and what not.
