Quality of international cricket

Has the quality of international cricket deteriorated drastically in the last 2-3 years?

 

Particularly in ODIs.  After the top two sides England and India , there seems to be light years of gap to the next best side.  

We thrashed Aus and NZ despite our poor middle order. 

SA are getting mauled at their home grounds

SL is directionless after losing their best 3 batsmen Sanga, Dilshan and Mahela

Pak is hot and cold, not sure which side of the bed they wake up everyday

WI are trying to rise from the ashes. Still have a long way to go.

Then we have the minnows.

 

What used to be such interesting contests between most of the top 8 sides has now reduced to just the top 2, maybe 3 if you include a full strength Aus squad.
