Obviously Kohli will rest in few matches and Rohit in few. Both can't rest at time cause someone has to captain.

i hope we get rid of rayudu to, shankar wud be gr8 at 4.....he is the kind of player we need. Best wud be if rahul finds his feet at 4 coz he has more firepower but shankar wud be a gr8 option to . And some day in Wc it wud be overcast n shankar bowling will come in very handy

Kaul, Rahul return. There are some guys who always keeps coming back into the side mysteriously.

Unfair to Karthik.  He can potentially play a role for this team that Suresh Raina did in the 2011 WC.  But he should be backed and given opportunities to build up his confidence.  Batting at #6 and delivering with any type of consistency requires a free, relaxed mindset.  Hard for a player to be that way, when you keep benching him, not only out of the XI, but also out of the squad!  

 

I get the desire to audition Pant, but they should have done that a while back already.  Right now, this mess is not doing justice to either Pant or Karthik.   Classic case of ham-fisted planning and lack of foresight.

that batting lineup had one gr8 batsman after another who cud single hardly win u games, this batting lineup is over after 3 so u need someone who can make a big score if needed. Those cameo role wont work with this batting. Raina also offered fielding n bowling Dk doesnt .

DK since his comeback has been gr8 with cameos but never stood-up under collapse which is expected of him as an experienced player

Karthik perfomances has been in t20 not odi , so cnt say have been unfair to DK.

Pant has played gr8 knocks at test level which shows he can turn the game on its head, DK can but in a limit scenario. Pant also gives us a leftie ....pant has an aura now .

Exactly. When is the time to test the back up opener. 

Both Dhawan and Rohit should be benched for the T20. Open with Pant and Rahul. 

If Pant does well, he can actually be the back up opener and back up wicketkeeper in the squad. 

Take Jadeja as the third spinner in the squad instead of Rahul.

No. Just giving Bhuvi an extended break
