How many matches has windies lost after scoring 300+. Allmost all recently. These guys dont know how to play odi game. Even during batting, it was clear that they were playing t20

And the batting has a late 2000s/early 2010s Indian batting side feel to it when we believed we could chase down any total.

Rohit is better than gayle rt now . but peak gayle with his bowling and hitting was a monster . didnt waste deliveries - either thrashed or got out . even now he has rejoined after long time . watch him in world cup . he is the Universe master

its the mindset that has changed

 

they have batting depth , experience and coach who believes in a philosophy 

none of their players are super talented but talent ( aka sharma ) is overrated

 

their philosophy is simple yet difficult to execute . they give chances to allrounders to excel in batting . they know that with two new balls , upto 375 us chaseable if u batt till number 11

 

teams who can stop england will have to-

 

bowl exceedingly well in first 15 and last 15 

have ability to chase 325 still and score 350 batting first 

 

only windies with gayle and a bunch of t20 specialists ( power hitters ) with good strong fast bowlers has the ability to upset england . 

 

its going to be a wi vs eng finals and wi will win

The key will be the pitches at the World Cup. They aren't even using as many venues as they did last time in 99. There are multiple matches in some venues and hopefully England will falter on some used, slower pitches . On flat decks, even wrist spin won't stop them. They have been the best players of everything including spin in the last 4 years.

dont think they will have anything like premdasa or madras .

ali etc have their spin base covered

 

but again wi can match them man for man . they are the dark horses

India is in a better position than England at the moment. More balanced teams win the cup. Also, England will choke in the knock outs. They do not have winning mentality, which was clear during test series. When they lose, they do not fight back. Check last two year stats. Only two teams have 50:50 odi records against them. Ind and Sa. I think ind has a great chance this year with a more balanced team.

Not one England bowler except Rashid is in top 10. Rashid is a pie thrower in my view anyway. You cannot win a WC with this. They are only king of flat pitches, neither can play spin or swing. We can also hit out in flat pitches and I have lot of faith on our bowlers this year.

lol yeah but they faced kaul & umesh and still their openers were hiding most of the time. Had they faced bumrah & shami they would have lost odi series as well.

Yes our bowling is great , but our batting would still cost us matches 

look how their openers played . 91 in first 10 and almost 200 in first 25 , this is how you set or chase totals .

Current Eng team are like our 2011 team , very batting heavy but just like us the home conditions will help

Let me know when their openers win them world cup. They will choke when needed most. Smacking trundlers won't make them great. They were not able to smack even yadav & kaul properly.

They are very dependent on Root, and to an extent Morgan. Those are the key wickets. Mainly Root though.
