Last 4 T20 series - 2 with Dhoni, lost both | 2 without Dhoni (won 1, drew other)

Dhoni was dropped for series vs WI, we won 3-0

Not there in T20 series in Aus, drew 1-1 (would have won if not for rain).

 

Without Dhoni - Played 6 T20s, Won 4, lost 1

 

Dhoni comes back for NZ series (to give him more 'game' time, as if other ODI specialists and WC certainities like Rayudu and Kedar do not need such practice)

We lose 1-2 in NZ

Now 0-2 vs Aus at home (our worst home defeat in a T20 series)

With Dhoni - Played 5, Won 1, Lost 4

 

With such a pathetic record, question to be asked is, what exactly are we gaining by playing this 38 yr old grandpa in our T20 team? Why should he be there in the team, when we do far better without him being around (as shown in Tests and in T20Is earlier)? Can it be now said that for the sake of this one man and his selfish desire to play in ODI WC and possibly next T20 WC, are the interests of Indian team being jeopardised? How has this one played suddenly become bigger than the team?

 

P.S. Him scoring 40(23) y'day doesn't count now. There is a clear pattern of team, especially younger players, suffering when he plays.

Playing msd in t20 is like shooting on your own foot as he makes u loose more matches..

He won't get out and will score slowly n ensure india looses the match.
