SK_IH
Series on the line. A situation not many would have imagined but an ideal one for this Indian side. These are kind of situations which betrays the actual character of the side. Yesterday there was rain in Delhi in the evening and I think looking at the weather, dew might not be that big a issue as it was in Mohali. zen
Ind needs to out wrestle Aus to gain confidence. Ind is now blaming dew and other such factors to psychologically heal itself but a 3rd consecutive loss will set the cat among the pigeons Besides the opposition, other factor that Ind has to battle is Rohit’s formulaic batting. He needs to get off the blocks quickly. With Dhawan playing normal cricket relatively, Ind probably needs someone who can hit a 80 ball 100 vs a 100 ball 80 on such surfaces to partner Dhawan. Since Rohit is likely to be persisted with, play positively esp. with 0 wkts down. If wkts fall, you can adjust for that Kangaroos have mauled Ind in T20s and in the last two games. Finch and Maxwell, who had ordinary last game, could come to the party in this game. The big test is the ability of the young Aus team to focus to deliver 3 consecutive good performances. If Aus can rise up to the challenge, it can pip Ind With both teams having their own challenges, it is a 50-50 game where toss and conditions may need to be taken into account to gain leverage In the end, don’t care much about LOI bilaterals. I hope to see good competitive cricket. BOL to both teams! Edited March 12, 2019 by zen SK_IH 1 Link to comment
