SK_IH
I hope there is curve ball in there some where based on IPL. Link to comment
bowl_out
Pant vs DK Shankar vs Rayudu KL vs surprise opener (Mayank/Shaw) These three will be decided by IPL.. Rest of the squad looks locked in. Link to comment
bowl_out
Or maybe the one surprise is Ashwin, and he has some new variations (wrist spin) up his sleeve Link to comment
prasen82
Tbh ashwin could possibly be better than jadeja. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back. I am thinking DK is back. A number 6 who can score 30-40 while being busy and with varied shots and some maturity in finishing innings . Pant vs KL could be toss up. Link to comment
bowl_out
10 of the starting 11 looks a certainty (except no.4) Shami will surely be in the squad. So that's 11 Four open spots for : Pant, DK, Shankar, Rayudu, Jadeja, Rahul. One of Pant /DK will miss out One of Shankar, Rayudu, Rahul will miss out Jadeja will sneak in. Link to comment
Vilander
15 : Rohit Dhawan Kohli Rayudu Dhoni Shankar Jadhav Pandya Jadeja Bhuvi Shami Bumrah Kuldeep Chahal Pant or DK the only unsure spot. 11 based on pitch. Link to comment

GautiMaan
Im hoping Dk will take Rayudus spot. If picked he should never play higher than #6 and should be played exclusively as a finisher. Infact if wickets fall early the likes of Jaddu and Bk should be sent ahead to conolidate. The TM is however utterly lacking in understanding players strength and almost always screws up the batting order saik and The Dark Horse 2 Link to comment
maniac
This is my starting X1 Rohit Dhawan Virat Shankar Dhoni Jadhav Hardik Bhuvi Kuldeep Shami Bumrah Reserves-Chahal, DK,Pant, Rahul 7 bowling options and decent batting till 8th. Chahal for Shami against teams like SA and maybe Nzl If Dhawan continues his horrible run then Rahul DK and Pant for either Shankar or Hardik or Jadhav of one of them have a horrible tournament. Unfortunately Guntur ka Punter might be done Also please no Jadeja personally don’t like 2 keeper-bats in reserves but some wildcard needs to grab his chance in IPL prasen82 and The Dark Horse 2 Link to comment

zen
The squad mentioned in the OP is spot on except DK-Pant .... Ind cricket is predictable! Edited April 15, 2019 by zen Link to comment
zen
Based on form and players in their prime, probably the weakest batting Ind squad for a WC as far as I can recall Link to comment
zen
With just 3 specialist pacers, some of them could lose steam as the tourney progresses without getting enough rotation Link to comment

Jadhav as 6th option. Edited April 15, 2019 by Straight Drive Link to comment

Can’t recall but I would not consider NZ as you could play an extra spinner vs a SENA team in good batting conditions .... In WC, a loss can take you away from your goal so have to be spot on with things under your control such as selection of playing 11 per conditions and opponents Edited April 15, 2019 by zen Link to comment
