Pitches for ipl

How the hell are some batting heavy, fast bowling heavy teams are playing on slow low pitches suitable to the opposing team? WTF rationale is there in this. You invest crores of money as a franchise but you do nothing to make sure the home pitch suits your teams strength ? Or is there some dark secret in this.. played out by CSK ?

You have the most exciting young talent of India playing for Delhi.. and they get a pitch that suits exactly for csk spinners.. is this even a talking point ?

I endorse every bit of it,DC should not play on pitches like this ,atleast in Kotla,

One can naturally raise his eyebrows ,for it has been tailor-made for csk spinners,in consecutive matches..

With wc looming the csk pr machinery will be in war footing mode to present their hero as a saviour on mission

Winners win, losers whine. Always CSK is it . Why can't you accept that CSK played better cricket on the day. Kotla pitch was always like this. What's new. That's the reason for bringing in Mishra. Delhi pitch is more suited to spin than Chennai atleast at this time of the year. Don't make it sound like its a batting paradise or seamer friendly wicket

maybe preparing pitches are not that simple :dontknow:

we are experiencing a very hot summer already , if chennai curator wants to prepare a fats and bouncy pitch , he may not be able to..

FSK has been the same since 1996 ( the time I started watching cricket). You can go bacjk two weeks and watch Aus vs Ind on similar track.

Also, about yesterday, the picth was bad and wasnt as bad as the one in Chennai. Dont get fooled by Dhoni's  and Dhawan's incompetency. On the same pitch, runs were scored by Raina, Watson and Pant

Delhi should either play on flat highway like pitches or play on those which bring Boult and Rabada into reckoning. Yesterday's pitch was a disgrace.. if FSK has been this way, they should have tried drop-in or laid a new one or done something by now.... And it's bizzare to see Delhi having such a pitch when they have Saini, khejroliya playing for them in ranjis.

It would be difficult to change the inherent nature of the pitch. Ball will general keep low even on flattest track at Kotla. 2012 was an exception in some games.

Along with Mohali. Mohali is long due for overhaul. It's now 25 years since it was laid. It's past its age by 10 years now.

mohali still produces decent pitches for LOIs and tests

Btw, forget about laying a new pitch, they're already building a new stadium in mullanpur :hysterical:
