He has contracted Hepatitis A, which is very common in India and Pakistan, takes about 2-3 weeks to recover without any treatment, just rest and leaves no long term consequences.

Hepatits A resolves within 3-4 weeks..Even a kid knows HIV dont resolve within weeks.. Dont try to be oversmart everytime.
