so you are telling me bradman, sachin, lara, viv were not ultra competitive?

Sachin and Lara were in the beginning. But both toned down a lot in later part of their careers. Both of them were failures as captain as well. No one even saw Bradman on this forum.

To be fair even ponting didn't go this retard at times. Specially against his team mates & if lara, sachin were failure as captain then it's not that kohli is great captain either.

Kohli's on field behavior is going to be a catalyst in setting up an assembly line of budding cricketers who'd be extremely talented performers but absolute tool in their demeanor.
Sledging/verbal duels is one thing but mouthing expletives whenever a wicket falls & giving a send-off to an opposition batter, which he's been doing a lot lately doesn't suit the best player in the world. How could you defend Kohli sledging a 23 y.o. Prasidh Krishna who hadn't even done something?

Kohli has been great as a captain at least for india. His captaincy record speaks for itself.

Lol Ponting got drunk punched people and got punched. I remember he got a black eye. Kohli does and leaves every thing on the field. We Indians complain too much.

That's because more often than not he's had much better resources than his opponents. Whenever he's been up against better stacked sides (AUS 2014 / S.A. 2018/ ENG 2018) he's had horrendous results.

Best way for youngsters to get into the Indian team is to sledge the heck out of Kohli! As soon as he edges one early in the innings in the IPL games, they should shout chal phut idhar se bc! He will love their aggression and fast track their selection.
