RAJASTHAN ROYALS

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD

20:00 IST (14:30 GMT)Match 45, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
Starts at 08:00 PM IST (14:30 GMT),

What to expect: It's summer time in India and with that being the case, Jaipur weather continues to be melt-inducing. This being an 8 pm clash does give the players some respite but still, the temperatures are expected to be in the high 30s. Dew could be a factor once more and that should be an ally for the chasing side. The pitches here have generally been balanced, providing a decent contest between bat and ball. The RR-DC game had a track that was a throwback to the pitches of 2014-15 and even if not to that extent, this could be another reasonably good surface.

Team News

Rajasthan Royals: It's time for the overseas bench of RR to get some game time after the departures of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes. It means that Ashton Turner (despite his series of ducks) and Liam Livingstone will get a consistent run till the end of the season, especially with Smith also expected to leave next week. The pace attack did well at Eden, albeit on a helpful surface but that should do to keep their spots for this game. In case the track sports a rather dry look on the match day, there is an option to play an extra spinner in Ish Sodhi, which means Oshane Thomas could sit out.

Probable XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson (wk), Steve Smith (c), Ashton Turner, Riyan Parag, Liam Livingstone, Stuart Binny, Shreyas Gopal, Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas/Ish Sodhi, Jaydev Unadkat

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Regular captain Kane Williamson is back after attending his grandmother's funeral. With Manish Pandey showing form at number three and Vijay Shankar slotted right after, there could be a toss-up between Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Nabi for the all-rounder's spot. However, considering that he was the only economical bowler in the previous defeat and the absence of a left-hander in the Royals' camp, Shakib might just keep his spot. Sandeep Sharma had a forgettable game against CSK and in general, has been patchy of late. The visitors could bring back Siddharth Kaul in his place to change things up. With Bairstow gone, another headache for the think-tank has is to find a 'keeper. Either Shreevats Goswami or Wriddhiman Saha will come into the playing XI likely at the expense of Deepak Hooda or Yusuf Pathan.

Probable XI: Kane Williamson(c) , David Warner, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Shakib Al Hasan, Shreevats Goswami/Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Deepak Hooda/Yusuf Pathan, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma/Siddharth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed.
