Dhoni has also filed a separate application alleging that Amrapali group not only failed to pay him for services endorsing the company but also deprived him of Rs 25 crore which he had invested out of his pocket in a joint venture and was assured of a return of Rs 75 crore. He also alleged that the group also owed him Rs 38.95 crore for his branding and marketing activities and sought the SC’s intervention for reimbursement of Rs 114 crore.

Indian cricketers are so greedy. Despite god like status and billions of rupees of earning , some xyz firm tell them they will double their money and stupidly they invest in that. Why can't they just put their money in FDs , mutual funds or rented properties.

Their is more to this and than what dhoni is saying. He got flat at cheap throw away price. He wants to make sure he is not implicated in that.

Is it not enough that they have earned for 3 generations. How much money will be enough for these guys. Sports is a timepass. They dont invent medicine or serve in army/medical etc which are more important

A homeless person may call people who are buying 2nd 3rd house as greedy .

Everything has its importance . The Dhonis,Tendulkars and Virats are one in a billion while and thats why they earn lot more than a doctor who you can find in every street

They say the flat was given cheap in return for endorsement he did for them

Does that not mean tax evasion?

He got a 1.50 crore house for 25lakhs. The 1 .25 lakhs is blank .

This is what they have publicly accepted.

God knows what the real amount is.

Dhoni did those ads at his peak . His fee was much more than 1.25 crore.

According to new rules, banks have to be paid first, then the people who invested in houses.

Why should dhoni who endorsed a bad brand and who risked his money for high returns be the first one in line to get the money from Amrapalli?

This.

1.25 crore is peanuts for dhoni.

He would not be getting into muddy waters for that.

There is a case against his wife too for some ghapla as she is shown as one of the director of rhiti sports.

There is more than what meets the eye

There is a difference between greed with hardwork and greed with stupidity. What they do with money is greed with stupidity. As a sportsman they very well know that there are no shortcuts. In india you very well know there are many who will try to sell you shortcuts either they are baba's ,trainers , doctors , business schemes. Most of the time these shortcuts takes you nowhere. If they had this approach during teens they would not had been anywhere.

@velu

Endorsing a bad brand was the risk he took . Why should he be paid before the helpless house buyers that put in their life's earning into the bad builder he endorsed.

Why should he be paid ahead of the banks who put public money into loans to the builder?

As for the money he put in...giving money for risky high return is the risk he took.

Why should his risk be compensated by the banks or the poor house buyers?

This is  like giving money to a village money lender for very high returns....there is no govt guarantee on that.
