Whole Indian education system is so messed up. Either make kid doctor or engineer. Not taking away anything from the software company. They have to be held accountable, but imagine the pressure these kids operate under that they feel need to commmit suicide. This is why India needs many counselors for teenagers, especially those who may not be able to handle stress of exams. beetle Posted May 1, 2019 Share Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) Indian parents ( most...not all )will continue to praise themselves as the best becsuse they are the only people in the world raising children with million sacrifices while the rest of the world throw their children to the wolves instead of raising them. They have to be paid back for giving birth for raising children ' they chose to have '. Maa ke doodh ki keemat ... Maa ke kokh ( womb) ki keemat Paap ke paseene ki keemat ......that the children have to pay back by a life time of servitude by the children . Control and manipulate the kids by love,punishment,guilt or sermons . Have sons as investment and insurance and force them to follow their dreams...and get big dowry. Sometimes for their egoes because the neighbors son did better. Daughters have to become doctors and engineers so that they get married to doctors and engineers without having to pay big dowry . Mat paida karo .... Why have children and drive them to suicide.... Everyday some kid is dead because of this . Result times have become suicide times. Yesterday a 21 year old killed himself because he did not do well in the math paper. If a 21 year old is still trying to clear school ,can't the parents tell that he is not so bright in studing ? Maar ke he dum liya ! Rant over . Don't quote me ....not interested in arguing how Indian parents make million sacrifices while American parents throw out their kids after they turn 18. Society does not care too much. Does anyone in the society know how much we scored in our boards ? The blame lies with the parents and sometimes the teachers for having unrealistic expectations and putting too much pressure. Not to mention the shaming that comes along with not doing well in exams. God ,give some wisdom to such bad parents and give some love to the poor children who are not bright enough to get good marks. Hope parents realise that a lot depends on the genes that the parents give the children and the environment the parents provide to the children. Very often ,it is not the child's fault.
