NZ start as overwhelming favourites as NZ have better batsmen, fast bowlers , spinners and captain. But that shouldn't be a surprise as most teams should fancy beating SL in this tournament considering their record in the last 4 years. Tom lathM is likely to don the gloves once again and should replace Blundell. NZ will look to identify their best bowlers since, Boult apart, none of them quicks have particularly impressed. A respectable defeat would be SL's only realistic goal.

Only windies can make that happen. Maybe Bangladesh on pitches that suit them. Pakistan look completely shot and out of it for now. Afghans and SL will get smacked by all and sundry.

Had this match happened 5 years ago, it would've been 50-50. But, now defeat is imminent. Will SL ever return to their glory days? Since the retirement of Sangakarra , Jayawardene, Dilshan, Herath, they have regressed.

Nonsense. Any batsman worth his salt should know how to bat on a green top. As for our bowlers, nothing could suit them better than such a pitch.

To be honest, it is a little too green today. Sri Lanka are crumbling already

Every team has a legitimate fast bowler operating from 11th over to keep the pressure on created by opening bowlers. Indian moronic selectors have denied Indian team that chance. Pandya will be bowling 11th over and in most matches will release all the pressure created by Bumrah and Shami.

 

How the hell are they going to compete .Both Shami and Bumrah once they finish their opening spells cannot come back and bowl before 30th over atleast.Why do they need three wicket keepers and three spinners I have never seen such useless team selection.
