Doesn't matter that he has two match winning hundreds , which no other player has and another crucial fifty. Doesn't matter that the players in your list have played match losing innings for their team by striking at 102 while they were chasing 350s and 370s. But all that matters is he has a strike rate that is 2 away from 100 that too by playing anchor role in a tricky 230 run chase against a formidable bowling lineup and ended up winning the game for his team. Cool. mishra, Gollum, Unstable Joe and 3 others 5 1 Link to comment

Gollum
Rohit has been the best among batsmen, at this rate he will end up as a greater ODI bat than even Kohli. And Rahul deserves a mention, more than the stats look at his impact. Consolidated when it looked like RSA was going to blow us away, a cameo (367 SR) against Aus and a vital knock against Pak seeing off Amir's first spell in overcast conditions on a pitch that had been under covers for over a week. For a rookie whose selection raised eyebrows, whose spot isn't certain, whose batting position has been a confusion so far...whatever he has done so far has been commendable. Williamson is averaging 225. 11 is chosen considering how everyone fits in and contributes. The players chosen have all made an impact with avg and SR. On Rohit, i do not rate his 1st 2 innings that much. While he did well vs Pak! Link to comment

Not much point in picking a low SR player to open when you have guys like Root, Shakib, and Morgan at 3,4, and 5, along with Buttler and Pandya to follow Link to comment
