Hindi Imposition : Cultural / Language and Food Imposition

Recommended Posts

Continuing what @Lannister bro started in the other thread.

Station Masters told to speak in English, Hindi

Southern Railway has instructed Station Masters to communicate with the Divisional Control Office either in English or Hindi and avoid the use of regional languages.

In a circular sent to all Section Controllers and Station Masters, the Chief Transportation Planning Manager said that “the communication between the Divisional Control Officer and the Station Masters should be either in English or in Hindi and the use of regional language should be avoided to prevent either side not understanding what is being said.”

The objective was to improve communication between the Divisional Control Office and Station Masters. It was the responsibility of the control office to ensure that instructions are fully comprehended.

Calm down,Its between Station Master and DCO (I know this will go wacky because they asked them to use Hindi  )..You can speak in whatever language you want :P

I guess ,they want same language across to prevent confusion .Though not comparable ,but like they use English mostly ,when communicating between Pilot and ATC .

How many station masters from Hindi region can speak English? And who are these Divisional control officers? If they can't speak local language, what the phuck are they doing in Southern states?

We should kick them out.

Exactly!. The name of the organization is Southern Railways. Employ people who are from the southern states who know regional languages first. And why is Hindi allowed when no southern languages aren't allowed?. Who allowed these morons to make these decisions in the first place.

Seriously...how many of these threads do we need?

Looks less like a cricket forum and more like some ' let us all hate and spread hate forum'.

How is this hate??? Do you even understand what you're talking?..And please wake up and look at the other threads here.

Threads such as this should be locked. This is nothing but propaganda threads to bash and create hatred towards other regions of the country.

Don't complain when next someone creates  " Rapes of Hindu Children by Muslims " type threads with daily updates.

What else do these threads achieve when this topic is started and discussed  everyday ?

Why not join some regional forum and keep discussing it there?

This is supposed to be a chit chat subforum of a cricket forum for light topics.

All that we have are  whinning topics about something or the other.

Is this an Indian forum or Hindi support forum?

This is an english forum meant for cricket..

Not for whinning about hindi imposition everyday.

You both have turned chit chat into your personal agenda forum.

Don't even feel like opening chit chat these days.

Once is good...twice fine...but whinning everyday everywhere is just too much .

Nobody is whining. Just because you want to stay ignorant, doesn't mean it's not happening.

We are discussing this out in a chit-chat. If you don't like the topic, then change the website name.

Oh sorry this is a chit chat forum meant for lighter topics. Then what are the other political threads in this same section doing here?. Asking for rights is whining to you?.

May be you could look for some other topics too...

Same old same old same old.

You both get up in the morning looking for news about who is mentioning hindi in your regions?

At least you write other stuff too but Lannister takes thos to another level where he writes the same stuff even in the cricket forum.

Now calm down. I am not the only one who dislikes Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Let the people discuss this topic if they are interested. Don't act like a Diana Edulji. You are just a moderator here not a website owner.

Go read the newspapers. It's not some made-up agenda like you are making it out. If you don't like the topic then stay away from it.

There are plenty of other topics and this thread will die out if no one's interested.

That's funny. After allowing threads to flourish which called Tamils all sorts of names you shouldn't be complaining about a thread which highlights language imposition.

@velu Buzz off if you don't have anything useful to say here.

It’s amazing how hatred for modi can translate into a hatred for an entire group of people and their language.

Modi is seen as the face of rise in taking pride in Hinduism. In reality they have always hated Hindus. Check my other thread about DMK bishop.

Aryans brought Sanskrit from central Asia and pushed Dravidians down south. While doing that, they also drove Dalits out of Hinduism. Tamilains are not Hindus, they are the original inhabitants, Hindus from North India spat paan and drove them down south along with Dalits. But what about Brahmins in the south?  Why did they learn Tamil/Kannada instead of Sanskrit/Hindi? They are the Aryan agents who were sent down south to keep the original inhabitants out of power!

How will every south Indian know English or Indhi?

What is the use of our fcuking tax money when we can't get services in our own languages?

How is this a service?  This is communication between two arms of the Railway, not a service for the people.

From the article you've posted in the OP

Southern Railway has instructed Station Masters to communicate with the Divisional Control Office either in English or Hindi and avoid the use of regional languages.

This is for communication between the control office and the station masters. It is fair that they communicate in English. What if a Telugu speaking station master has to communicate with a Divisional Control Office in Palakkad? Isn't English going to be the preferred choice of language? Most offices also are strictly English only.

Stop being a shitdisturber because your language is not central to the nation. There is nothing untoward about a logistical service control board requiring communication in one particular language. FAA regulations require that all pilot to control tower communication is in English, in every damn FAA rated carrier, regardless of domestic or international nature of the flight. KLM flying from Amsterdam to Jakarta require English. Air China from Shanghai to Beijing require English.

Nobody whines. Why are some Southies such shivering pu$$ies ??

@Stan AF Bro it's not just limited to Southern states. Can you remove that?  We want our beloved Bengalis to also participate in this thread.

We Bongs, like Gujjus, Marathis, Oryas and all other hindi belt bordering language zones aren't quivering pu$$ies like the Southie Hindi haters, who are having their bubble burst due to Hindi migration. Maybe our languages are way stronger in its appeal to our masses and way richer in literature, but we don't worry about our languages dying or Hindi imposition simply due to the central govt and central owned agencies demanding communication be in Hindi or English. Learn from us Hindi bordering language zones on how to deal with Hindi and not be quivering pu$$ies who are gonna get in the way of national unity due to demented concepts about the south and north and some sort of laughable nonsense about Tamil supremacy in languages.

Those jobs should be reserved for locals only. And expecting station masters to speak English is silly. How many station masters from Hindi region can even speak English?

That's true when you move into higher posts. But the problem is why is there a preference for Hindi when you are working in Non-Hindi states. English + local language should be the bare minimum if you want to work in other states.

Why should a national company reserve jobs regionally ??

Because Hindi and English are the official languages of Republic of India and has been since independence. Central govt. is fully within rights to insist it's employees communicate in the official language. In Canada to have a federal govt. job you must be bi lingual in English and French. Nothing to see here except some southies being pu$$ies who hate Hindi due to being sheltered.

Nobody cut off my balls, but it's clear that someone cut off your identity to the Lilliputian local identity instead of the much much greater Indian identity. I am guessing it's your mullah and padre masters busy soul harvesting in your region.

And LOL at learning from Jihadidi. Seems like you will stoop to any low possible to justify your puddly local irredentism and anti Hindi racism. Bongoshontan is the ONLY card Jihadidi has left to play before the VS elections in 2 years, given how close BJP is.

And given how you cannot debate or justify any single point you have made against Indian constitution, basis of republic of India , Local irredentism, it's no surprise that most here think of your position as anti Indian joke.

Have heard this before as well, my personal experience living in the beautiful city Bengaluru is....Kannidigas didn't approve Hindi language much and this must be from long time, it was just like a natural thing over there, it's their choice and has to be respected......one of the best citizens of India...Respect :hatsoff:
