Never understood why people consider rains as romantic.

Traffic jams, keechad everywhere, car gets dirty, overflowing nalas, traffic jams.

What is supposed to be romantic about this again?

Rains in Goa are different from rains in Mumbai !:hysterical:

It doesn't flood in Goa.:p:

Only keechad is in sabzi and machchi mandi.

Rest all water gets drained quickly .

Staying wet doesn't make you sick in Goa...just drive around and the clothes get dry.

Traffic jams:((unfortunately they have become routine in main roads but just go into the inner village roads and they are fine.

Tell me about it. In Delhi rainy season is THE WORST.

5 minutes of halki si drizzle and you see drains flowing as if it's Cherrapunji.

The humidity that follows is unbearable since the houses are constructed in such a way that blocks all the wind thus making the indoors suffocating.

You get to shower like twice a day.

In Goa most of the pools are in the open and are out of bounds during the monsoons. Ditto water sports. Most of the fishermen do not venture out and except for prawns that they farm in the man made lagoons, you don't have much variety in the sea food.

Why would your clothes get dry if you drove around? The upholstery would also be damp for a long time. All in all no fun if it rains.

Goa in Dec/Jan >>>> Goa in the rainy season. :((

I blame Bollywood. They've romanticised the rains far too much.

I mean who doesn't enjoy

Ye raat bheegi bheegi

Tip tip barsa paani

tum hi ho (aashiqui 2)

and the like

But what they don't show is that to get to the under construction building in Malad ( or was it Versova?) Akshay Kumar would have taken 2 hours and 5 canisters of deodorant to get there prim and proper.

Any hills station but condition is you need to go there when there is no rain because roads can get blocked.  Once you are there, you will enjoy the cool weather and the clouds floating in front of you.  Mussoorie will be fine in Monsoons to witness this but driving can be difficult at times when fog surrounds you.
