People in villages still drink Sattu ka Drink, which is considered to be very good against the heat of summer days.

Ever tried?

In my school days my athletics coach made me consume sattu+water (no sugar) first thing in the morning. Never had it as beverage, more like protein drink.

And then there is Basel Seed Drink. I think it is known as Tukhm Malinga in Pakistan. Normally, it is present in Falooda.

Actually people consider Basel seeds only as refreshing drink, but  they have amazing health benefits, especially for the athletes.

I have this feeling that our older generations got some really healthy summer drinks. While our younger generations are drinking mostly harmful drinks like Cola and Pepsi.

Ghan.. Ta common phalsa was being sold at 400 per kg couple of weeks ago  and even now it's 200 per kg.

Ohh... Didn't know abt rates...my dad buys it and makes the juice. Common chants you would have heard I am sure in Delhi...'kalai kalai phalse, mithe mithe phalse' :D

In roohafza, if you add nimbu, then that also tastes great.

Sugarcane juice FTW.

These days they have these juice shops were that use these modern machines and make it a science. Add all these flavors. Tastes like crap. nothing like the sugar cane juice made from those old school rusty machines

Yeah .. forget this

Prefer black sugarcane juice :aha:
