Not even a comparison

CDGH and pheklu bowls a lot more overs and plays as all rounders

Vijay shankar plays as a batsman who can bowl. Shankar isnt a bits n pieces....he is a proper batsman

comparison of those 2 shud be with hardik, stokes, russell , holder

What kind of a batsman cant hit a ball to save his life? I bet geoffrey boycotts mom was a better batsman than Pussy Shankar.

its not easy to come n tonk the ball from ball 1....some are meant for the role some dont

ODi cricket is just not about one situation coming n hitting from ball 1.

If its not easy then you are not meant to be there, with a small sample size of vijay shankars batting he has only messed up with whatever little he has done. Can never forget how he messed the Nidahas Chase and also dug us in a pit against Pakistan, played 15 balls and scored 15 runs in the death over's. I dread the situation where we need 60 of 30 balls with shankar at crease in a Worldcup Semifinal. He's an absolute mediocre player and doesn't deserve to be in the team.

many top order batsman cant hit if u make them bat in lower order.....u think someone like kohli n rohit starts to hit of instantly

He made runs against aus n Nz when neeeded and thats enough to suggest he shud be there

Nidhas was t20....he is not a t20 player .

60 for 30.....ull dread even having kohli that day .

Mediocre :hysterical:

So you are comparing Kohli and Rohit with Vijay Shankar? Whats a T20 player and a ODI player?  I don't think Vijay Shankar is even a player, he's just a guy with some luck favouring him every time he goes out, got lucky with Pakistan batting and Bhuvis injury, at Nidahas he got lucky cos kartik saved his face, hes a mental midget who doesnt have power game nor can he consistently run through the opposition batting with his bowling. Mediocre at his best.

Odi cricket is just not about power game his s/r is 96 which is good enough

he is a batting all rounder whose job is not to run through batting orders....but to fill in overs

A. You are again being delusional and assuming that Rohit and Kohli will not able to up the ante when its required.

B. How many of the so called T20 specialists are playing in the Indian team?

C. Your batting allrounder has no place in the top order coz there is no place there, he cant bat in the lower order coz he doesnt have the power game? It is just a desperate attempt by selectors to include ordinary bits and pieces players like shankar to try and maintain the balance of the team. But this move at the cost of a specialist batsman will cause the team big time. It already cost us The Nidahas trophy if not for the Kartiks heroics in the last over.

He earned his place in Aus NZ series....he is a no.4 batsman ....neither does many yet they are doing well in ODI. ODI is just about not about power game. He has a good enough s/r to play ODI
