KL Rahul as WORLD Cup Opener

Some saying he doesnt have ability to have a mid gear- wrong

Some say he isnt good - absolutely wrong

Reality- No players plays at his full ability his whole career. Rahul struggled for form for one year hence it has affected him mentally as a result he has become conscious . He has done some technical changes as result he is not able to play few shots as he use to. The rest problem was evident today when he n kohli were batting. Rahul is struggling to pick length early hence he resorts to defense on a lot of occasions . This doesnt improve overnight it can take seasons

Its not his ability of anything he is a complete batsman but when u dnt pick the length early u cant bat at ur best . Nyways no batsman bats at his best whole career

A big reason for not picking length early is not having clear mindset........failure of his past still plays on his mind. He is coming to bat with a fixed mindset hence its not a free mindset

I hate it when he throws wicket. Did in last 2 matches when he had chance to score big runs. If he gets out to good ball at start then fine but when you are well set and have taken time you can't throw it in worldcup and that too twice now in row.

just can't understand w.r.t why this guy was selected in the first place. even his list A record is mediocre. He is a mental midget. And his body frame & balance is  a bit off for being a compact player. Even more frustrating is that we have so many talented youngsters  in the domestic who are convincingly better than him in  every aspect I  specified.

Highest Indian IPL 2019 run scorer.

this is the problem. a guy who is only good at scoring huge when there is nothing in the pitch can't in any way be expected to score at a relatively higher str:  on a pucca bowler friendly wkt.  This is where a lot more technically perfect, compact , preferrably left hand batsman is needed to partner Rohit.

There were a few experts here who were bashing Rohit Dhawan saying they are 80s style openers, are too slow for the modern game and they were the reason for whatever games we lost.

Their hidden agenda was to get Rahul to open.

Now Rahul is really showing us what an 80s style opener looks like.

Because Rahul himself is insecure. We all know what he can do. It's just about confidence for him. Over 500 runs in last 2 IPLs.

Yep classic case of lacking confidence. He is unsure of how to build an innings.

Nothing against Rahul. He should be given enough time. Just that people asking for Dhawan or Rohit's heads were wrong.
