sage
Very keen to see how our team goes about a high run chase we had a deer in the headlights moment during the Champions Trophy in the final and I'd rather we confront such a situation now. How will our openers play the first 10 overs, how will our middle order do - was the Afghan batting purely high IQ adapativeness to the tough pitch and circumstances or can they really not score faster than 4 RPO? I hope for this team we encounter this challenge before the knockouts. WC2011INDIA 1 Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
Yea as if Eng with batting powerhouse is able to chase 230 n 290... or WI filled with Power hitter having a good tournament Rasgulla 1 Link to comment
flamy
But, we need to be prepared for 450 scores, Ingerland is zee best batting lineup, our openers need to learn how to emulate them, our whole batting order needs to play like Ingerland, why don't we have an allrounder at number 11 nevada, Norman, Rasgulla and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Nash
You want a bad game for india so probability of bad game could ruled out in knockout. "hell yeah" Rasgulla 1 Link to comment
SrinjayDutta
Let's hope we win 2 more first, and then these cases may happen. I think no team can chase 350 for the rest of the tournament, unless the bowling attack is terrible. Pressure cooker situation has began. putrevus 1 Link to comment
zen
Iirc, highest scores batting 2nd is in 330s by Eng and BD The pitches/conditions (ICC’s guidance) at many of the venues have led to sub 300 scores. Therefore, it would depend upon the surface they play at Edited June 25, 2019 by zen Link to comment
putrevus
They still need to win two more matches first. Some moronic people wanted Indian openers to emulate England's openers style. India does not need 350 plus scores and with Dhawan out, I don't think India is capable of scoring 350 plus. What they need is solid openeing partnership followed by Kohli batting till 50th over blocking one end.Chasing will become more and more difficult as pitches get more won out. Suhaan
We should rather think about dropping Jadhav/VS first, These too together will cost us crucial matches upfront, Virushka should be proactive, can't think of retaining both of them in XI Unstable Joe 1 Link to comment

sage
Excellent experiment concluded. Everything occurred just as planned. More disappointed than anything, would have liked Thala to surprise me but he's an uber mug as usual. All I hope this game does is give a dosage of reality to all his Bhakts while Nasser and Saurav humiliated him MK55 1 Link to comment
