zen
Eng has too many good players to not be able to pick its game. Roy, Root, Morgon, Stokes, and Buttler have all played good innings, now just need to focus to put all together. Bowling has to improve. Fielding can be better Link to comment

Ind was able to pick up its game. Here Eng is in a similar situation so let us see if it can bounce back Edited June 25, 2019 by zen Link to comment
WeStMiDz
They may still qualify but the sheer arrogance of former pros and pundits for a team who has achieved nothing on the world stage has been quite astonishing. Even after their loss to Pakistan we had the likes of Michael Vaughan and Rob Key discussing which semi venue they'd be best suited at. Even at their loss to Sri Lanka they were discussing how they would surely win at least one of their remaining games despite World Cup history telling you they haven't defeated any of these 3 teams for some time. Even after Australia had posted 280, they were convinced there were going to chase it. Staggering. Edited June 25, 2019 by WeStMiDz Link to comment

History should tie up with current/recent form. ‘83 Ind and ‘96 SL had no history to speak about but on form, they performed well. On recent form, Eng is the #1 ranked side Link to comment

Over the last few WCs, they haven’t been a great ODI side, which is one of the reasons they changed a lot of aspects about their LOI game Link to comment
Deleted_User_1
At the height of British Raj, there was a saying that the Sun never sets on the British Empire. Looks like the sun is about to set on their white auss very soon! Link to comment

But would need to adjust quickly. If they reach SF, may bump into Aus again at Old Trafford, which can be good for batting Link to comment

zen
Oh boy, what a comeback! First, plans did not fall into place as conditions were not as expected Second, made a few mistakes including not doing the right thing at the toss Third, had a few weaknesses in the 11 Fourth, needed to win 2 games against tough teams to make it to SF (so KOs for Bullgods started from the game vs Ind) Learned from mistakes, made changes, and became more focused!
