In that scenario India wouldn't stand a chance. RS and VK are India's two best batsmen and they are supposed to fire. If LD and SS find form I'd rate BD batting 2nd best if not the best in the world, arguably only behind Aus.

No. Even if India loses all due to their better NRR they will advance. ENgland will end up with 10 points as against India's XI. Both BD and Pak has inferior NRR.

Its going to be curtains in any case if we rely on Shankar. Bhuvi can hold an end up to some extent if there is a collapse. Even if there is a collapse and we have 6 batsmen, we wont win.

 

This team is very very reliant on Hitman and Kohli to win the game. If they go early, India will lose no matter what.
