Rohit Sharma surpasses MS Dhoni in the total number of sixes in ODIs

Recommended Posts

We know that MSD used to send helicopters out into night sky but his six hitting ability seems to have diminished a bit. He is now surpassed by Rohit Sharma in the number of sixes hit in ODIs after the ODI vs Bangladesh.  Rohit is at 230 whereas MSD is on 228. It will be interesting where the number of sixes will be when MSD hangs his boots.

Viv 126 6s from 167 innings in that era !!!!! Also Greenidge with 81 in 127 innings :hatsoff:

No comparison with King Viv, supreme in every possible way :adore: :wp146:

They are West Indians, cant compare them to others.  They are are born to hit sixes.

greenidge in ODIs at that time was more like tuk-tuk-boom unlike richards who had a complete AR game. WI have always hit 6s with ease. look at gayle for instance. one prolific and forgotten 6 hitter (but an ordinary batsman) from WI was ricardo powell (75 6s in 110 matches) - smashed ind more than once.

Looking at that list, Ganguly's strikerate was really piss poor

he consumed dot balls like malinga consumes whatever fatty food he eats. this is why the diff in SR of dravid post-1999 and ganguly is nearly the same; former rotated the strike whereas the latter was more reliant on 4s and 6s.
