Unable to come out of Depression

its like the Kohli LBW is playing over and over in my head and not able to get out of it. what a loose shot by Kohli playing across line and fell for the easy setup from boult.

how the fuk can we lose to a 3rd class team like NZ? agreed our middle order was poor but 240 was chaseable.

Kohli is a very shite captain and on top of that he has no luck.

time to fire Kohli from ODI captaincy and drop MSD.

When you loose to a so called "3rd class team" who made it to the finals fair and square, what does that make our team? 4th class? Stop insulting other teams when your own team did shyte

Good I didn’t watch the top order collapse. I forgot to set the alarm. I wake in the morning and look at the score. My head literally started aching, jadeja’s runs of balls gave me some hope, but when he got out I knew this is gone. Has been a shitty day since then.

As soon as I saw the score in the morning I knew I can’t go to office, worked from home. Have to catch a flight in a few hours, but the only place I want to travel is back in time before our chase, want to shake kohli and tell that arrogant SOB abt what is coming their way!

I woke up at 3AM and checked the score on Cricinfo....Headline read "Kohli 1, RG Sharma 1 & Rahul 1, NZ on Top".

I said... 'F*CK this'.... didn't bother to turn the TV on and went back to bed. In the morning I woke up hoping for a Miracle Result favoring India...didn't happen

Well played Jadeja !! :nice:

Can you imagine state of players how low most would be feeling. During the entire match you could see rohit and how hurt he was.

Such an humbling experience this game is, 5 hundreds in the WC but all that mattered was his score today was 1 run.

Rohit played the best out of all the batsmen. You could tell he wanted to make a statement on being ignored for 2011 World Cup. Of course you can’t expect him to score 100s every game. But the guy must feel hard done by. He must feel he was responsible for not putting his arm up when India needed him in this knockout stage. Stuff like this is part of life. I am sure it will hurt him for a while. But as a batsmen he needs to learn to move on. Show better performances in the future.

NZ was the best team in the semi final. This is what world cup is all about. An unexpected team going through. Good luck to them. But their repeated top order collapse against NZ is very alarming. Technically and Temperamentally found wanting against them. There was only one scenario NZ was going to beat us. That scenario happened perfectly. I am not depressed. We were not destined to win.

We came 10-15 runs from the target and no it wasnt absolute fair game. but thats how it is. Chasing yesterday would have meant that we had upper hand and NZ were struggling. They got whole day to strategize after putting runs on the board and we had to chase with first innings effect and because of rain the conditions were too favorable to their bowling. I think all the things came together for NZ at the same time.

Top order collapse

Under tested middle order

Favorable conditions for fast bowlers

Having said that I am not taking anything away from NZ bowlers and their excellent fielding. 36th and 40th overs of Santner, Dhoni should have taken him as he was bowling straight. I will put little blame on Pandya and Pant as well. This bowling and pitch was not favorable for square hitting at all. There were tons of chances for hitting straight but Pandya and Pant were trying to play too square. Jadeja got proper guidance from Rohit Sharma on where to hit and he executed very well. He was the only batsman who played many shots straight.

I agree, it wasnt meant to be. We lost.

Kohli has such negative mind set when losing. He is not a leader he has zero team building skills. He loses the plot so quickly in a Delhi minute. He can't hack **** in the razor thin margins of knockout games. If Rohit was captain we would have found a way to win. Look at Williamson so calm when talking to his players. And then we have Kohli who is either jizzing his pants or crying like a baby. This bipolar **** is the reason we will never win anything. He is to volatile and he chops and changes players. How can you instill confidence if you keep chopping and changing

I was doubly flat this morning - with this result, and Queensland losing the State of Origin series right at the death, NSW scoring the match-winning try in the 80th and final minute.

It’s on to the international rugby season (Rugby Championship and World Cup) for me now.

Yes NZ is a 3rd class team.

With the ability to beat a " First Class " team and play in the Final . In my book I know which team I  would rather be a supporter of today

Show a bit of class and respect for the game of  cricket and when your team plays poorly don't have a hissy  fit and start abusing the opposition team

Can't wait for 8-0 in 2023, few things in life which are constants

Over here in the states it is a well known fact we brown people work at a store that has two numbers. Which are 7 Eleven. Since you reached your 7 it means we will reach our 11. To make it 7-11.

Which is why Australia lost to us in this WC.  Lost both the test series and ODI series to us too   (  played at your home )  early this year.   :flute:

Australia is so strong that their top players have to cheat and tamper the ball and get suspended.

Looks like our fans have not been paying attention to the team. You could have guessed this result 6 months ago going by the competence of the team management. Other teams were more honest and professional with their preparations. Kohli and co just had it coming. Don't expect too much under this management.

Arrogance, weren't your brethren & former greats claiming that Pak should've been in the SF instead of this 3rd class lucky team :yousuck:

Most of us on this forum blame the loss on Pak favorite, their current answer to SRT conundrum (after Dravid's retirement) Kohli & of course the biggest leech ever Dhongi - but hey carry on your rants 2 faced faker!

Hi bro !   Not developing a strong enough middle order, when there was time on hand before the WC , was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.  And it did yesterday.  And it is not an observation based on hindsight as everyone kept talking about this for 2 years now.

Kohli probably lacks the confidence to be a LOI captain without help from an experienced ex-captain.  This led to him hanging on to.  Dhoni way past his " sell by date ".  And this resulted in Pant not being allowed to settle in, as Dhoni's position in the team would be questioned even more if a young keeper batsman does well.  Why a non-keeper batsman was not allowed to settle in at No.4 is beyond me. !     Add to this, Kohli's faith in TTFs in the batting department instead of new talent.

He's also a very defensive captain in tests, you don't become ultra defensive in LO & suddenly aggressive in tests. He let England get of the hook 4 or 5 times in England, a couple of times for SA as well.

The reason we're doing relatively better in tests is because of Ashwin+Jad & of course Pujara, hopefully now Pant as well. Not to mention we're facing many of weakest teams especially in India - SA is their weakest in living memory, Oz had their weakest team ever at home in 100+ years, England is also not that strong in places where the ball doesn't move, SL is our bunny, WI are rising but not a patch on their greatest sides & we haven't faced Pak in a long while. Put Brat's team vs the teams we faced in 2k & we'd be whitewashed by virtually all of them, perhaps with the exception of England & NZ.

India needs a major overhaul in the maoin team setup. Ravi Shastri must surely be a goner. He is not suited for the coach role, let him travel as a cheerleader if you need him in the team. Kohli is not a captain material. Time to resign from captaincy.

KL Rahul, Kedar Jadhav, and Dinesh Karthik don't have a future with the Indian team. They need to be sacked.

India should find at least 2 technically good batsmen and play them continuously in the teams for 4 years upto next world cup. If I really think about it, the soft underbelly was brutally exposed at the most opportune time and Kohli dearly paid for the indecisiveness displayed for 4 vital years. Shameful!

At least 4 - we need backups & it's not like Sharma or Dhawan will be at their peak in 2023, in fact both of them might not even make it. Though seeing Dhongi I'm sure they'll try their hardest!

I feel it's good for India if our top order is inconsistent. At least then we will be forced to develop a good middle order and they will also get good exposure. But no changes will happen until our joker captain is sacked. Useless to the core.

Our top order did not show up when it most mattered.

But we gave it a true fight, respect to Jadeja :hatsoff:

It wasn't meant to be. Now, hopefully NZ can take it

There are some team who can only screw you but can't win a **** , nz is there for u.
