Dhawan/Rohit will be 37/36 in 2023; need to be phased out

Recommended Posts

I hope the team management has enough sense to ensure that these 2 guys are phased out! Itll be tempting to play both till then but we don't want to go into WC 2023 with our top 3 37,36 and 35 years old respectively. At least by 2021 CT, this should be our team:

1) Shaw

2) Rohit

3) Kohli

4) Gill

5) Pant

6) Pandya

7) Jadeja

8) Bhuvi

9) One of Kulcha/someone else

10)Shami (assuming he's actually 28 now)

11)Bumrah

I hope they stop worrshipping them like Dhoni , as far as team is concerned i think India has plenty of talent they should give more opportunities to young talented players for first 2 -3 years and then assess the pool on the basis of that rather than going for same same players.

What have Bhuvi, Shami and Jadeja done wrong? Others I agree with although Rohit might have an outside shot at 36, considering he will be 2 years younger than Tendu in 2011.

Likely to lose pace, while form/fitness is unsure. Jadeja may have a chance if he is able to improve his batting as we have a lot of competitive spinners coming out, who could be hitting good form in the next 2-3 yrs

Ideally Kohli and Rohit (max) should be the only 32+ players in the next WC. We need young legs and new blood.

Kohli should not be playing each and every ODI series. He must focus on tests and try to solve the few remaining weaknesses (openers and no 5) in our test side. Do not want him to exacerbate his back pain due to overwork.

Rohit and Kohli should take turns captaining the ODI side and take breaks along the way. Rohit will probably get another go in test cricket. Pant has to play each and every game for two years irrespective of his performances. He will eventually turn out to be a match winner.

Same siyappa wil happen again in 2023..Dont retire Rohit, Dont Retire Dhawan, ICC tourney specialist and 3 double hundreds and blah blah..These guys take Indian team fans for granted.

Indian Cricket team and management is totally *ed up, billion people just waste their time costing their productivity behind this nonsense.

Even if New Captain is appointed or New Player makes his name as Superstar in next 4 year we will hear the same nauseating things in press conference from them, "I grew up watching them, He is always my captain, He is my idol, I will jump from Fourth floor that X,Y, Z player".. Kohli was promising in 2014 and looked like He wont accept this nonsense from Grandpa but on the contrary totally opposite happened and he turned out to be the biggest sucker of Dhongi.

This is why if we were not gonna win the Cup, a humiliation would've been better than a SF exit. Right now they have done the bare minimum which is why there is no outrage. At best the likes of Jadhav and KKD might get dumped. All the fat cats will be safe.
