Ankit_sharma03
Punjab's Shubman Gill, Vidarbha's Faiz Fazal and Gujarat's Priyank Panchal will lead India Blue, Green and Red respectively in 2019 Duleep Trophy, the curtain-raiser for the 2019-20 Indian domestic season. India Blue won the 2018-19 Duleep Trophy. The Duleep Trophy will run from August 17 to September 8 in Bangalore and will be followed by the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Deodhar Trophy, Ranji Trophy and Irani Trophy, which will run from March 18-22, 2020. Gill will lead an India Blue squad featuring Shreyas Gopal, Ankeet Bawne and Jalaj Saxena, among others. Fazal, who led Vidarbha to the Ranji Trophy titles in the past two seasons, is skipper of the India Red squad containing Rahul Chahar, Siddhesh Lad and Jayant Yadav. Gujarat opener Panchal, who this summer captained India A in two first-class matches, will oversee an India Red squad which features Karun Nair, Axar Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Ishan Kishan and Varun Aaron. What has Sanju Samson accomplished in the last 3 years of FC cricket, to deserve selection in the top list of performers, which is what Duleep Trophy is? Sure a couple of these guys are probably not top-shelf talents. But ultimately, if they put up domestic performances, they should get some chances. That's how you sustain a competitive, quality driven First Class system. Ultimately, the selectors will obviously take talent and potential into account as the players move up through the ranks. tweaker, kirkutfan and abc 3 Link to comment

Some players i mentioned above have been on recent A-tours Link to comment

Prasidh, Avesh Khan and Nathu Singh ? they are not as fast as the unadcutter who bowls close to light speed. in fact the reason his bowling appears at 120-125 kmph is because the cameramen slow it down artificially from its natural speed of 220-225 kmph. express bowling 1 Link to comment
Vijy
everyone knows the obvious candidates like gill, but I am interested to see how wadkar does. he is one of the better batsman-keepers around in domestics. once saha retires, we need good back-ups for pant. kishan is one possibility but wadkar has great stats both in keeping and batting.
