vvvslaxman
Around 2016 he crossed the average of 50 once. On either side not once he averaged 50. From that point (supposedly his peak) his average has come down to 40. He has scored just 1 century after that. Even in one dayers his average is around 30. His batting average in both formats is significantly lower than his contemporaries. Why is his place guaranteed? Anytime we fail overseas suddenly we "miss" Rahane. Why is his selection automatic? Pollack
Rahane in tests is one of our backbone. Surely he hasn't done as expected from him but he plays a few crucial supporting innings which are worth a gold. He won't be dropped anytime soon and rightly so.
