vayuu1
A Pakistan military owned media house has posted an advertisement to attract female social media specialists in a bid to “attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users”. The advertisement has been placed through the Pakistani state owned Fatima Jinnah Women University and demands fluency in English and excellent skills in photo, video and text editing. The job description floated by the Pakistani military also demands the applicants to have knowledge of social media, relevant experience and knowledge of social media analytics tools. The notice says that the military is looking to hire only female candidates. The job description mentions that the job would require the women to "attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users." The advertisement raises concerns that the military might be using the women for “honeytrapping” to get access to confidential information, or luring the youth into terror activities. Several Pakistan-based modules have been suspected of using the technique in the past.
