Popular Post ShoonyaSifar
It's a cabal of Kohli-Dhoni-Shastri-Media Pant has failed to live upto expectations and has himself to blame for playing some foolish shots, but never ever in the history of our cricket has a 21 year old in his 2nd year of int'l cricket has faced so much public criticism from the Team Management amplified by over critical media (print, news and social). If you read the reports, it'd feel as if he's the one who is the ho;ding the team back. I also wonder what abuses Pant is facing inside the dressing room from coach and captain, obviously that will never come out. But his body language has totally changed from how it was during the Eng/Aus tour. The way he's being made a villain is clearly a sinister design to break him down completely so that Dhoni can continue playing for as long as he wants. Kohli and Shastri will pay for their sins soon. Karma always has a strange way of biting back. Dhoni, who mistreated so many of our legends, faced this after 2015 when he became totally useless. Kohli will soon face this as well. Popular Post Gollum
They will eventually drive serious fans away from the sport, already happening. This is the most corrupt phase in our cricket, more than Azhar's era cos right now no checks and balances, no willingness to course correct, media an active corroborator . Fukc BCCI, fukc COA, fukc the cabal. Good thing is other sports are developing fast, exciting phase for them, hope they get many new fans and support, sponsors, recognition. Coming Olympics is so important, could see a shift in balance in Indian sports. Create new heroes elsewhere and I doubt people will be as invested in BCCI's cricket team and the fraud prima donnas. Who doesn't want to see the likes of Neeraj, Bajrang and Sindhu walk away with all sponsorship contracts leaving the Kohlis and Dhonis in the dust? About time something like that happened, cricket's monopoly in Indian sports must end as should fables about the mythical prowess of one of the worst sporting teams (P4P) in history. Bas apna Circus Tamasha League khelo instead of disgracing the country. Edited September 19, 2019 by Gollum Turning_track, bahubali, adi B and 13 others 1 15 Link to comment
retired_hurt
Isn't the criticism justified? He keeps trying to play cheeky shots and loses his wicket. Lost the T20 match against Australia at the start of the year from a winning position. I am all for backing youngsters but they should be criticised for throwing their wicket away. This isn’t criticism - this is bullying in t20 wickets not as much valuable as strike rate- pant plays correct and as per his strength . What shastri is doing is nothing but gutter politics . U can give feedback in private - imagine a dravid or a kumble ever saying something like this - all the good guys have been kept out and it’s a corrupt couturie running the show beetle, Cricwala, nevada and 4 others 7 Link to comment

Thats his game....the days it comes off it looks great but it has a flip side to the day it doesnt come off He is an impact player....shudnt expect consistency from him. Neither was gilly, sehwag, jayasuria consistent If u want consistency that will come at cost of impact .......We already have rohit, kohli, dhawan now lets not make someone bat ni their mould. Ppl want some one to tonk from ball 1 but on most days it doesnt come off......so if u want that expect the other side as well Mosher, Ironhide, Vk1 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Imagine you are a new joinee in a MNC. There is a senior who worked on the same project whom the bosses love. As soon as you join there is only public praise of the senior and public criticism of you as a new joinee. Everyone is after you, waiting for you to make mistakes so that they could sack you and hire the old guy back. Will you make more mistakes or less in such a toxic environment? ShoonyaSifar
Pant will have a very good case of mental harassment at the work place against this current cabal running Indian cricket. Should he explore this option? Coach and Captain have gone public on him, he has got every right to expose them and their duplicity May lead to a short term setback to his career but will be immensely beneficial to our cricket. If not him, someone else should do, much needed. sergio04, bahubali, Ironhide and 4 others 7 Link to comment

Moochad
Pant will have a lot of pressure going until the WT20. If he wants the spot as WK-batsman, he will need to learn to bat more mature fast. Calculated aggression > aggression for the sake of it. Otherwise Thala will return to the lineup for the tournament. bahubali 1 Link to comment

Dhoni, who mistreated so many of our legends, faced this after 2015 when he became totally useless I don't agree Dhoni mistreated any legends...they had all reached their sell-by date when they retired. Ideally, Gambhir should have taken over from him as test Captain in 2012, but his form fell away appallingly. Problem with Dhoni was he sucked at test captaincy after WC 2011 win, he lost all interest in that format and became greater than the game because he was N Srinivasan's blue eyed boy. Dhoni also failed to groom young quicks, turned many into pathetic line & length trundlers. But yeah, Virat is following in Dhoni's path and will likely be as reviled few years down the line, UNLESS BCCI strips him off captaincy soon Ankit_sharma03 and Invasion 550 2 Link to comment
Cricwala
A lot of blame for this mess goes to busybodies of Supreme Court - self-appointed moral crusaders who wade into 'meaty matters' like cricket, diwali crackers, wedding sizes, bar dancers etc while ignoring mountain of 60k cases & questions of accountability raised against their incestuous club. BCCI had gotten rid of N srini & Pawar cabal, Anurag Thakur was bringing more professionalism and things were looking up with appointment of Kumble as coach, but Lodha committee ego created the clueless body called CoA and Kohli has been enjoying unchecked power ever since. Have we not seen him under-perform for the last 4-5 years and still get selected for the WC? There is a reason Shastri and now this article has come up so recently targeting Pant. They are getting everyone ready for Dhoni's return. And if Pant plays immature, that gives thala even more opening. beetle and nevada 2 Link to comment
