If TM genuinely thinks Pant is crap, better to go with Samson than going back to Dhoni Link to comment

If you are talking ODIs, Samson will be considered only as a wicketkeeping option and not a pure batsman, so were looking at three options - Pant, Samson and Kishan, and not plenty of them. For T20s, he can still be considered as pure batsman. He is hit or miss, but can win you a game on his day, exactly the skill you need from a T20 bat. In T20s, Pant is still the first choice keeper, but have Samson in the squad as a batting option. Link to comment
