WC2011INDIA
No. He still got out in a shitty fashion. Zero ability to accelerate after reaching a 100. Not a big innings player. sandeep, Mosher, Pratik77 and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment

Straight Drive
Read that this was his first test tonnin past 3 years. Link to comment
G_B_
first test ton at home in 3 years.... To be fair handled Rabada especially well yesterday. The ball was doing something. On the flip side the spin bowling at the other end was abysmal and offered zero pressure. But i have noticed in the WI and SA series his defense has tightened and he is also looking more positive. I.e looking to score than survive. Post this and BD series needs to score big in Ranji to maintain that form till NZ in Feb. Link to comment
rkt.india
Form is temporary, class is permanent. Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
Rahane is avg 72.14 this yr till now Link to comment
Khota
See my old posts. Your truly always supported Rahane too against the conventional wisdom. People on ICF want younger players like they will fix everything. I always reming them that average age of players in football leagues is 26. Link to comment
gattaca
Rahane’s intent to score runs was missing. It’s all the mindset. He came and looked to score runs this is the biggest change if he can do that he will score many more tons. Link to comment
G_B_
I think more than a case of form is tempory class permanent etc Rahane is just a limited player suited to test cricket. He tried to change his technique to get into loi team, he paid the price. Na ghar ka, na ghat ka. In a way the nature of indian cricket means players in loi are adulated. Test only players are not commercially respected. Link to comment
Real McCoy
Rahane is the only player to score 50 in 70 balls and hits sixes for fun in tests but can't get it off the square in the IPL. I swear to god this past IPL, he hit a helicopter shot to clear the infield Ok I'm sorry Rahane for making this comment. Link to comment
Tendulkar1996
No he deserved to be dropped.Got a looong rope and cashed in due to county stint.I'm not sure his latest purple patch will last till the next round of overseas tests. Link to comment
