Time for England to replace Joe Root?

The guy doesn't really seem to have many leadership skills. Looks out of his depth when facing difficult situations.

Also his own batting has gone to crap. The burden of captaincy could be playing a big part.

 

Do England have any other options in the existing team that could take on that responsibility? 

I don't think many other players have a secure place in the team. Which leaves Broad, Stokes.

England domestic circuit is not producing any more batsmen of calibre to score big hundreds on flat tracks of Aus/Nz or navigate spinners on SC spinning tracks. Even if they drop him who are they going to replace them with?
