BCCI is planning to inaugurate world biggest stadium at motera with Asia 11 vs World 11

The world’s largest cricket stadium has been under construction in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad for quite some time now and is now on the verge of completion. A report in The Indian Express claims that the stadium will be ready by early next year and the BCCI is planning a grand inauguration.

The report suggests that the stadium, which can accommodate 1.10 lakh spectators, could host an exhibition match between Asia XI and World XI in March next year if the International Cricket Council agrees to BCCI’s request.

 

"There will be Asia XI vs World XI game but it will be subject to ICC’s approval,” BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was quoted as saying in the report.

T20 mein Mushfiqur, Malinga, Rashid pakka. Other options might be Fizz, Nabi, Mujeeb, Angelo. Don't think Bakis will be invited to play in Gujarat.

Hope the pitch and stadium facilities are world class. Old Motera was a third class stadium, it’s new avatar deserves to be a world class sports facility.
 

Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar have too much of sarkari touch in building architecture and facilities starting from its pathetic ‘international’ airport. Statue of Unity at Narmada or Ranotsav at Rann of Kutch suffer from the same sarkari malaise. Likewise the holy cities at Dwarka and Somnath.

In Ahmedabad there are about 4 hotels with attached rooms selling alcohol . You need a permit that means paperwork , paperwork and more paperwork , this must be applied for within 3 days of entering Ahmedabad and a boarding pass ( not a passport stamped by immigration ) must be shown . One visit every 3 weeks is allowed . I only go through this every time is to get liquor for my Indian friends in Ahmedabad . 

Many from Ahmedabad travel across the border to Mount Abu in Rajistan  for alcohol .

You can get one unit of alcohol once a week, if u are an NRI tourist or atleast that's what I got when I visited Ahmedabad early this year. Also there are more than 10 hotels selling permit liquors these days, though be ready to pay hefty prices for your favorite brands.
