Turning_track
Tragic news. Poor people working in that place got trapped & lost their lives. Govt. should crackdown on those illegal factories operating in such densely populated areas which is threatening lives of its workers & also the populace nearby. The thought of a fire breaking out and after effects of that, in those lanes crossed my mind more than once. This prevails all over India. But then who do we blame? IMO the citizens, who occupied those shops/lands 40 - 50 years ago and have established ownership.

G_B_
As much as you would want to blame any political party the truth is that the people who work and own these establishments know full well they dont have any precautions. If you enforce a fire code these same people will complain about loss of jobs
