When will our fielding/catching turn a corner?

In general we have sucked on the field for a long time now. T20 WC 10 months away, among the contenders (doubtful but that's a topic for another day ) our fielding/catching looks the weakest. Our catching will be a problem in NZ/Aus tests as well. I see no area of improvement the last 4 years, every little sign of progress is nullified very soon.
