Lol. So much negativity. Have listened to Gilchrist , ponying and KP. All of them said the same thing playing in T20 is no different than playing in ODIs. You keep scoreboard ticking if you see a bad ball you hit it for a six. Armchair experts going haywire on ICF.

Why do you think Aussie team with Gilchrist were scoring 4 rpo in test which has not been duplicated. They set the benchmark for test cricket and also odis when they were at their peak.

Gilchrist and Ponting are wrong there is reason why Aussies have never won T20 world cup.T20 is not an extension of odis.

It is not negativity by pointing out the outdated approach. There is a reason why this team does not do well setting the targets in T20s.11 losses out 26 since 2016 batting first is testament to the outdated approach. Out of those wins Yuvraj and Raina were part of the teams.

It most definitely is not, one could argue an ODI is more like a day of test cricket. T20 is at best playing the (ODI) power play over 20 overs. The only time you can slow down is when the conditions necessitate that &/or there's chance of rain after which D/L comes into play.

rather going for 8-9 why not go for a six in over+ single n double or may be 2 bounadries + single double

this will make over of 11-12 runs.....

We just need 1 extra shot in an over every over which shud come by Rohit n kohli

That's the thing. The last time both these teams met on this ground in WT20 Virat played a much better innings than Simmons. The difference was Virat didn't get the much needed support from the other end in dealing with boundaries while Russell was going berserk in the 2nd innings, also thanks to the no-ball & dew factor. And in this match Mr.Rahane played an innings of 40 in 35 balls & got out in 16th over. Can't believe this man has featured in WT20 final & a SF.
